She’s the proud mum of Britain’s biggest family — and now, 22 Kids and Counting star Sue Radford has once again melted hearts after revealing the staggering cost of her weekly food shop… and the sacrifices that come with it.

The 50-year-old mum, who shares 22 children with husband Noel, 54, has long been admired for her warmth, humour, and resilience. But her latest confession struck a different chord with fans.
“Sometimes we have to give up our own meals for the little ones,” Sue admitted softly — a line that has since gone viral across social media.

The Radfords, who first welcomed cameras into their bustling Morecambe home back in 2012, have spent over a decade showing what real family life looks like — the chaos, the laughter, and sometimes, the quiet moments of struggle.
Recently, Sue gave followers a glimpse into her weekly Aldi food haul, posting a photo of her kitchen completely covered in groceries.
She teased fans with the caption:
“Aldi shop all done. Who wants to guess how much it was — and more importantly, how long it will last?”

A few hours later, she revealed the total: £375.65.
“Lots of you guessed pretty close,” she said, “but most thought around £200. The real number shocked even me.”
What amazed followers even more was Sue’s explanation that, despite the massive amount of food, it only lasts about a week — with two smaller “top-ups” needed for essentials like fruit, bread, milk, and cereal.
“It’ll last a week,” she explained, “but we usually have to top up midweek — especially for the younger ones who go through milk and fruit so quickly.”
Online, fans were stunned — but deeply moved.
One wrote: “£375 for 22 kids and 2 adults — that’s barely £15 each. Incredible!”
Another added: “She’s not just feeding her children. She’s feeding love.”
The Radford children range from Christopher, 36, down to little Heidie, 5 — with every meal, every loaf of bread, and every late-night grocery run reminding Sue of what truly matters.
Despite the chaos, the family recently made room for one more — their new long-haired miniature dachshund, Mavie, who Sue says has “brought even more happiness into the house.”
As the comments keep pouring in, one message stands out:
“It’s not about the price tag — it’s about the heart behind every plate.”
And for Sue Radford, that’s the story of every single day.
