Adam Peaty has opened up on the special connection he has with fiance Holly Ramsay after it emerged that he has fallen out with his family who have been absent from wedding prep celebrations

Despite the ongoing feud between his family and the Ramsay clan ahead of his marriage to Holly, Adam Peaty has revealed that he asked his fiancée to join him on tour as she gives him much-needed ‘balance’. The couple are due to tie the knot in a lavish ceremony held at Bath Abbey on Christmas Day.
And while the run-up to the big day should consist of both families finalising details of the wedding, things could not be worse. But in an attempt to focus on the special bond he shares with Holly, he revealed that he asked her to join him on tour as she gives him the ‘balance’ that he craves.

He said: “If I’m racing in trials or I’m racing in another meet, she will just be there in the audience. I’ll be in a different hotel room or etc. I said to myself when we start this season that I wanted her there because it gives me balance, but also not time away from home for three weeks. And as someone going through their fourth Olympics, you need balance.”
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Caroline Peaty, recalled the moment her relationship with her son broke down. She explained that after Adam announced his engagement, they threw a party but did not invite extended members of his side of the family. And so Caroline sent Holly a text explaining her concerns, which reportedly infuriated Adam.
This, according to his side of the family, kick-started a chain of events that led to neither Caroline nor other members of the family being invited to Holly’s hen party, held at Soho Farmhouse. Instead, the guest list focused on Holly’s mum and close friends, including Victoria Beckham.
Speaking about when they first met, Holly told the documentary series: “So when Adam and I first met, he wasn’t swimming. After the Olympics, in his head, he was done.
He was retired. So he took from the Olympics to January off and got back in the water this January.” And addressing her close-knit family, Holly is one of six. She has a sister, Megan, her twin brother, Jack, Matilda, Oscar, six and Jesse.
Holly said: “I have five siblings, so the house is constantly chaotic – which is a bit like being on tour. There’s definitely a few quirks to being with a swimmer…
“Always have to have snacks on hand, if I don’t have snacks then he always gets very hangry so if we’re going out, even on the way to dinner, I need to bring snacks with me.”
Caroline hoped that her chat with the Mail would instigate contact with her son ahead of his wedding day.
