MELANIE Skyes has shared a new health update after she revealed sheâs âtwo thirds baldâ amid her illness struggle.
The former TV presenter, 55, made an emotional post on social media this week, where she admitted sheâs in âso much painâ after spending much of the year unwell from various illnesses.
Mel, who suffers from an auto-immune condition, raised concerns around her health after revealing the shocking symptoms of her illness, but explained she remains positive around âhealingâ after taking up a new passion.
Earlier this week, the mum-of-two issued a health update via Instagram, where she explained: âIâve got an autoimmune condition, I am losing my hair, I keep having crazy inflammation all over and I am working on healing.
âIn the last three months, Iâve done a meditation teacher training course.
âI was too ill to finish it like. The last two days of it I couldnât do.
âItâs meditation teacher training, I donât necessarily want to teach, but I can doâŠ
âMostly Iâve been living a very, very very spiritual existence.â
Mel, who suffers from alopecia and a heart condition, has become increasingly spiritual since her health battle began last April.
The star, who stepped back from her showbiz career, looks noticeably different from her days on the telly, as she remains on the road to recovery.
And in her latest post on Instagram, she gave a follow up to fans and shared an insight into her new-found faith â and how it has impacted her outlook on life.
In the six-minute clip, Mel revealed: âYeah, life is so, so good, and I know it because Iâm right here right now and thereâs nothing to fear. There is nothing to fear.
âThe more I tune into faith, and believing that all is well because it is, because Iâm experiencing it, so I know that it is, that itâll only get better.â
The former model went on to share that despite obvious concerns around her welfare from close pals, she would rather not have to talk about being ill all the time.
She admitted: âWe donât need to bring that to the conversation. Itâs not like Iâm hiding it, Iâd just rather have conversation about something else because Iâve got that [health issues] down and Iâm healing myselfâ.
Mel, who previously co-hosted ITV show Letâs Do Lunch with chef Gino DâAcampo, stressed that sheâs not a âgloomy personâ, and added her âprognosis is healingâ as she focuses on making a recovery.
She urged everyone not to be too concerned about her, and rubbished any worries around her health as âb****cksâ.
She added: âWorry about yourselves, if anything, and I donât even mean worry about yourselves, I just mean attend to your own spiritual garden, yourself, your body, your mind, your creative spirit.
âDonât worry about me, Iâve got me, Iâve always got me, Iâve learned to really take care of myself in the last two years.â
Mel has heavily leaned into meditation and spiritual thoughts since her health issues began.
She first opened up about her conditions last April â and linked her suffering to allegations of inappropriate and intimidating behaviour against Gino, which he âfirmly deniedâ.
Speaking on her YouTube channel, Mel said: âI went into the New Year with so much energy.
âIâve slowed things down because I got a heart problem, which I developed during the whole Gino DâAcampo bull**** that happened in the news.
âSuddenly, the stress levels in my life shot up because I left that industry years ago but it wonât leave me alone.â
âItâs all been triggered â and everybodyâs agreed with this â by my PTSD from the industry.â
Mel, who also urged TV bosses to crack down on inappropriate behavior in light of the Gregg Wallace MasterChef scandal, went on to say: âI support anybody who has experienced things that are, I think the term is beyond the pale, at work.â
