When Cruz Beckham passed his driving test, he did so to much fanfare – celebrating with a trip to a McDonald’s drive-thru in his trendy burgundy Land Rover.
But two years on, the 20-year-old has lost his licence after receiving his second speeding ticket.
One of his offences – believed to be the latter of the two – took place on September 2, when he told his followers on Instagram that he had ‘just got done for doing 24 in a 20’.
New figures show almost 500,000 speeding tickets were issued for drivers caught breaking the limit on 20mph roads last year, two-thirds more than in the previous 12 months.
The fledging musician is said to be ‘gutted’ to have had his licence taken away from him so soon after taking to the road, but if a driver gets six or more penalty points within two years of passing their test, their licence is revoked by the DVLA.
Now Cruz will have to reapply for a provisional licence and pass both the theory and practical driving tests again before he is allowed back on the road.
‘Cruz is gutted about it,’ says a source close to David and Victoria’s youngest son. ‘It was a couple of speeding tickets which are so easy to come by these days with 20mph zones. It’s infuriating but he seems to have accepted it and taken it on the chin.’
When he got the ticket he shared a quote from a quirky Wes Anderson film, saying: ‘Games gone. Myself I feel very safe.’

Cruz, who last Thursday enjoyed a night out with his girlfriend Jackie Apostel, 30, and his sister Harper, 14, is a car fanatic and as a teenager had been excited to pass his test.
His parents also took to Instagram to share their pride when he did so in September 2023.
As well as his Land Rover, Cruz has been seen driving a silver 1980s Mercedes, with friends pointing out that he is ‘an old soul’.
