Netflixâs latest release that has already been described as a combination between The White Lotus and Gossip Girl is predicted to be the TV obsession of the summer. All episodes of Oasis are now streaming on the platform, with those who have already seen it claiming it will be the binge-watch of the season.
The Spanish-produced show immediately found comparisons to HBOâs drama as it also finds itself set at a lavish holiday destination. On top of that most of the characters are examples of great wealth and privilege.
According to its synopsis, Oasis is the most luxurious holiday resort in the country. A paradise reserved for the wealthiest families, featuring private beaches, VIP facilities, and impenetrable security.

Despite the comparisons to The White Lotus, early impressions claim that it is taking a slightly different approach to that show. Oasis is apparently more focused on building suspense around its gripping mystery.
Its cast list contains several lesser known stars to those who are not familiar with Spain produced series. While the series is in the Spanish language, it can either be watched with subtitles or dubbed in English.
Considering the series has only just landed on Netflix, it is yet to receive enough reviews to earn a score on website Rotten Tomatoes. However some early reviews have started to be published online.
One critic claims that âsteamy drama Oasis will be your new summer TV obsessionâ. While another calls it a ârefreshing, easily digestible series.â
A reviewer added: âIt is a slick, glossy and less obviously satirical take on the dysfunctional rich people genre but this Spanish drama might fill that White Lotus-shaped hole.â
