🚨 SHOCK FOOTAGE: TIGER WOODS BODYCAM REVEALS ARREST MOMENT AFTER CRASH CQ😱

Tiger Woods was arrested last Friday following a car crash which resulted in his vehicle being flipped on its side, and he’s since been charged with driving under the influence

Police in the US have released bodycam footage of Tiger Woods’ arrest. The golfing legend was charged on suspicion of driving under the influence after he was involved in a rollover car crash in Martin County, Florida last Friday.

Woods, 50, has since pleaded not guilty and been granted permission to leave the United States in order to visit an international rehab facility. The American also issued a statement acknowledging the ‘seriousness of the situation’.

Now, body camera footage released by Martin County Sheriff’s Office has revealed the moment that Woods was arrested while his car lay flipped on its side on the road. The footage also shows him kneeling down and speaking to police officers.

“Looked down at my phone and then all the sudden, boom,” Woods explained. The officers are then seen patting down Woods’ back to check for any injuries.

More footage shows Woods, wearing a blue polo shirt, appearing to fall asleep in the back of a law enforcement vehicle. Police say that the 50-year-old passed a breathalyser test but refused a urine sample and admitted to taking painkillers.

Woods released a statement on Tuesday which read: “I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today. I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health.

“This is necessary in order for me to prioritise my well-being and work toward lasting recovery. I’m committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger, and more focused place, both personally and professionally.

“I appreciate your understanding and support and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones and myself at this time.”

Woods had been tipped to captain Team USA at next year’s Ryder Cup at Adare Manor Golf Club in Ireland. But the PGA of America have announced that following his arrest, the 15-time major winner has turned down the opportunity.

“We commend Tiger for prioritising his long-term health and deeply respect the courage it takes to make such a personal decision,” the PGA of America said.

“Tiger has shared with us that he will not serve as captain of the 2027 US Ryder Cup team and we support his decision. The PGA of America will share further updates regarding the Ryder Cup captaincy when appropriate.”

On Thursday, Martin County Court judge Darren Steele approved the motion for Woods to enter an international rehabilitation facility after his attorney, Douglas Duncan, argued that the five-time Masters winner couldn’t get the care he needed in the US, citing his lack of privacy.

“Based upon the defendant’s treating physician, the out-of-country treatment facility recommendation is based upon the defendant’s complex clinical presentation and the urgent need for a level of care that cannot safely or effectively be done within the United States, as his privacy has been repeatedly compromised,” Duncan said in the court proceedings via Golf Digest.

“Ongoing medical scrutiny and public exposure create significant barriers to his care and would result in setbacks and an inability to fully engage in treatment.”
