Debbie McGee has shared a deeply emotional tribute to her late husband Paul Daniels, nearly a decade after his passing. Taking to Instagram, the former Strictly Come Dancing star posted a throwback photo of Daniels alongside Sir Terry Wogan, reflecting fondly on the “two amazing performers” while admitting the emotional toll of living without her partner of 30 years.

Paul Daniels, the much-loved magician, died of brain cancer in 2016, leaving Debbie devastated. Since his passing, she confessed she has received very few dating offers, telling the Suddenly Single podcast that she believes her age might be discouraging potential suitors. “I don’t think I had one approach,” she admitted.

While Debbie has had short-lived romances, none have come close to the deep connection she shared with Daniels. Their 20-year age gap once worried Paul himself, as Debbie recalled him saying: “Go and meet someone your own age,” even though their chemistry was immediate and full of laughter.

Despite inheriting most of Daniels’ estate, the net value was under £500,000 due to outstanding debts. But for Debbie, it’s the emotional void that remains hardest. She admitted she’s “content” being single for now, but hasn’t ruled out the possibility of love, saying, “If it came along, of course I would fall in love… but for now, that has not happened.”
