Outlander Fans Are Reeling — The First Season 2 Footage Reveals a Heartbreaking Separation No One Saw Coming

The world of Outlander is far from over. Following the epic series finale of ‘Outlander’ last month, MGM+ and Sony Pictures Television have unveiled the first teaser trailer for the second season of ‘Outlander: Blood of My Blood,’ while also confirming a Saturday, September 19 premiere date.

Outlander: Blood Of My Blood' Reveals Season 2 Premiere Date & Teaser

The announcement arrives as part of this year’s World Outlander Day celebrations, giving fans their first glimpse at the next chapter in the acclaimed prequel series.

Season one introduced audiences to the sweeping love stories of Jamie Fraser’s parents, Brian Fraser and Ellen MacKenzie, as well as Claire Beauchamp’s parents, Henry and Julia Beauchamp. As the season progressed, viewers discovered just how deeply connected the two couples’ lives were as their stories unfolded across different eras.

The newly released teaser trailer offers an action-packed look at season two, highlighting the enduring bonds between both couples as they face new dangers, devastating separations and the looming threat of war.

Picking up directly after the dramatic season one finale, Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine) and Julia Beauchamp (Hermione Corfield) find themselves facing the consequences of their unexpected journey through time. After finally reuniting at the standing stones of Craigh na Dun in hopes of returning home to their young daughter Claire, the new footage reveals a heartbreaking twist, with Julia left alone with their baby while Henry becomes separated from his family once again.
