Sharon Osbourne has revealed that she unexpectedly landed in the hospital this week and was forced to miss out on the unveiling of a statue of her late legendary rocker husband Ozzy.
The 73-year-old widow – who recently hit back at ‘cash grab’ claims – took to her Instagram on Friday to make the worrying announcement.
She shared a video of the giant Ozzy Osbourne statue, which stands 20 feet tall, at French metal festival Hellfest along with an explanation for her absence at the recent unveiling event.
Sharon wrote: ‘I’m sorry I couldn’t be at Hellfest for the unveiling of Ozzy’s statue. Unfortunately I had an unexpected trip to the hospital earlier in the week.
‘A big thank you Olivier Garnier, Ben Barbaud and everyone at Hellfest. Special thank you to @philippe_pasqua_officiel for the absolutely stunning statue! [prayer hands emoji]’
The star did not provide any additional details regarding her hospital trip.

Ozzy, who was living with Parkinson’s, died at the age of 76 last year on July 22, 2025 as his official cause of death was confirmed as an acute myocardial infarction (heart attack) and cardiac arrest.
Meanwhile, Sharon has sparked concern over her health in recent years with many criticizing her for being ‘too thin’ as she admitted to Ozempic use nearly two years ago.
Back in January 2024, she told Daily Mail that food has been her only vice as she said: ‘No, my weakness has always been food. When I’m happy, I eat. When I’m sad, I eat. I was a pig. At my heaviest, I weighed 225lb — that’s just over 16 stone. And I’m only 5ft 2in. I weighed more than my husband.’
She admitted to undergoing several cosmetic procedures including browlift, facelift, liposuction, breast lift, and tummy tuck.
However, she turned to using celeb-favorite weight loss drug Ozempic in December 2023 and ended up losing 42lbs which she admitted was too much at the time.
She told Daily Mail in January 2024: ‘Now, I weigh just over 7st. I need to put on 10lb, but however much I eat, I stay the same weight.’
In December 2022, she was also hospitalized due to a sudden medical emergency as she collapsed while filming an episode of Night of Terror in Santa Paula, California.
She talked about the incident during an appearance on the UK-version of The Talk the following month on January 2023 as she said: ‘It was the weirdest thing.

Ozzy and Sharon are seen in Beverly Hills back in July 2011
‘I was doing some filming and suddenly they told me that I [passed out] for 20 minutes. And I was in hospital, I went to one hospital, they took me to another hospital, and I did every test over two days, and nobody knows why.’
In 2020, she was also hospitalized after testing positive for COVID-19.
Sharon was previously diagnosed with colon cancer in 2002 which had spread to her lymph nodes.
She later underwent a double mastectomy in 2012 after discovering she was a carrier for the breast cancer gene. That same year son Jack revealed he had been diagnosed with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis.
