đ Sometimes the deepest wounds leave no visible scars.
At first glance, Taylor Sheridan’s frontier epic appears to be a story of conflict, survival, and violence. But beneath the harsh landscapes lies something far more emotionalâa portrait of people struggling to hold onto hope in a world that seems determined to break them.
Wind River, the âimpressiveâ crime thriller from Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan, has landed a new streaming home in the UK. Written and directed by Sheridan, the film stars Elizabeth Olsen and Jeremy Renner.
After an autopsy report confirms that the woman was raped, Olsenâs FBI agent Jane Banner arrives to investigate, teaming up with Lambert as the pair try to solve the crime.

The logline reads: âA chilling murder mystery set in the icy backwoods of a Native American Reservation, starring Elizabeth Olsen and Jeremy Renner.â
Joining Olsen and Renner on the cast are stars including Jon Bernthal, Martin Sensmeier, Gil Birmingham and Kelsey Asbille.

Empire Magazine said of the film: âTaylor Sheridanâs flair for creating heartland epics is undimmed, but itâs hard not to wonder what someone with more directing chops, and the will to hit the accelerator, would have done with it.â
âThe mood is tense, the characters are well-drawn and director-screenwriter Taylor Sheridan has crafted some of the best dialogue of any   movie this year,â said The Wrap.
Meanwhile, The Spectator wrote: âI wonât bore on here, even though itâs my inclination, but will say that while Sheridanâs intentions were undoubtedly noble, this makes the whole enterprise feel cheaply mainstream and exploitative.â
Wind River is streaming now on Prime Video.
