His furniture business was forcibly closed last month after failing to file accounts on time.

And this week Blades, who faces trial next year over rape allegations, has signed an application to shut Hungry Jay Media.

Company records seen by The Sun say: “This company has applied to be struck off and dissolved.”

Blades started Hungry Jay as a production firm to “inspire and motivate people from all backgrounds to get into TV”.

He found fame as one of the original presenters on the BBC’s popular restoration show The Repair Shop, presenting it for seven years until 2024.

At its peak, episodes pulled in seven million viewers a week.

The King even appeared in a special episode in 2022.

A source said: “Jay closing this firm is an admission that, no matter what happens, his media career is over.

“There won’t be a comeback, he is done.”

Blades is on conditional bail after pleading not guilty last year to two rape charges.
