GB News commentator Matthew Torbitt has welcomed a baby boy with Love Island star fiancé, Sharon Gaffka.
The couple both posted adorable snaps on Instagram on Friday, prompting a flurry of congratulatory comments as they introduced their newborn son to the world.
Mr Torbitt shared his partner’s post of their baby sleeping peacefully on his Instagram Story, writing: “My son there, coming home with almost as much hair as me.”
A second photo on his page was a black and white one of himself in hospital scrubs smiling as he held his son at the hospital.

Human rights activist Sharon Gaffka, who appeared on the 2021 series of ITV’s Love Island, penned in her own post: “Football might not have come home, but someone else did.”
She shared a series of sweet photos from moments after her son was born, showing a snap of herself holding the tiny baby with Mr Torbitt smiling down at them both.
Another showed the newborn sleeping as he held his mother’s hand. A final photo saw the tot soundly sleeping.
The couple announced they were expecting a baby back in March, with Ms Gaffka sharing a photo on social media of herself and Mr Torbitt posing with her baby bump on full display as her fiancé held a newspaper-style announcement reading: “Due July 2026,” with a big photo of a baby scan.
The caption concluded: “Baby Gaffka-Torbitt is on their way.”
She wrote alongside the snaps: “When I thought I was going to be spending my 30th birthday weekend with my head in a toilet…this isn’t quite what I had in mind!”

The update on Friday about the arrival of her newborn saw Ms Gaffka receiving floods of comments.
Presenter and fellow campaigner Jess Davies wrote: “Congrats lovely!!” alongside some heart emojis.
“Congratulations! Hope u guys have the happiest memories,” another follower comments. (sic)

The couple have been engaged since December of last year after Mr Torbitt proposed during a holiday in Switzerland.
