SHOCKING BACKLASH: Angela Rayner Triggers Massive BBC Breakfast Boycott Over Major On-Air Complaint!

Frustrated BBC Breakfast viewers turned over the new Housing Secretary Angela Rayner, appeared on the show to talk to Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt about her housing plans, as well as whether new Prime Minister Andy Burnham would be freezing rents as part of his cost of living measures.

As Stayt pushed for Rayner to give them more specific answers on what the UK public could expect, telling her that it could sound like she “is prevaricating”, Rayner replied saying she “knew it was frustrating”, but she wasn’t in a position to make promises.

Charlie told her: “People get weary of being told you’ve got to give it time, aren’t they? I mean, that’s part of what Andy Burnham has already said. People need to feel something now. You seem already to be talking about give it time.”

Rayner replied: “Well, we’ve already in the last year built over 12,000 new social rental council houses and affect social housing. We want to see that increase and you will see that increase.”

Stayt hit back: “That’s still about the figures. You said 12,000…” as Rayner quickly replied: “We’ve done around just over 12,000 in the last year of social rental homes.”

He continued to push: “So are you sitting here this morning saying that in your tenure now, one year in one year’s time, there will be double that figure? Because people want measurable things. It’s not good enough for politicians, as you well know, part of Andy Burnham’s mantra to say, trust us, we can do that. They want to see results. So that 12,000 figure in the past year, what will that become?”

Rayner explained: “It’s very difficult to put an exact… Do you understand when I say that? I do, but let me try and explain why it’s difficult to do that. Because there’s lots of moving parts when it comes to house building and anyone who’s tried to do renovations and I will tell you that it can be delayed or other things can go smoother than you think. So when you’re doing a national house building programme, things can move around. So I can’t give you an exact figure, but it will increase.”

Viewers watching at home said they would be switching off from the interview, with a number saying that Rayner was yet to say anything concrete. One said: “Well this will be a waste of time.”

Another added: “Good God, wish I’d been warned, had to switch over to Good Morning Britain!” as a third agreed: “I’d turn over!” A fourth raged: “Angela Rayner proving on #bbcbreakfast that she will offer nothing different from her time under Starmer. ‘Takes times’.”

A fifth agreed: “Angela Rayner nonsense, not 12000 yet but to say things move around and it can make delays. Utter nonsense, she waving planning through. Builders forecast their build completions on a quarterly basis. She hasn’t a bloody clue.”
