Katie Price appeared determined to focus on herself as she was spotted heading to a nail salon in Sussex on Friday, just hours after making it clear she intends to confront husband Lee Andrews over the growing controversy surrounding him.
The former glamour model, 48, was photographed arriving for a pampering session wearing a revealing white crop top and tiny denim shorts that showcased her extensive tattoo collection. Despite smiling during the outing, the appearance came against the backdrop of an increasingly messy chapter in her personal life.
Katie recently admitted she has reached breaking point following months of headlines involving Lee, who was released earlier this week after serving a second spell in Dubai’s Al Awir prison while facing fraud allegations.
The couple, who have been married for seven months, have found themselves at the centre of fresh controversy after allegations emerged involving Lee, including claims that he discussed trying to sell an alleged sex tape featuring the pair. Lee has reportedly denied any serious intent, insisting comments made in an alleged voice note were only a joke.
Addressing the situation on her podcast with sister Sophie, Katie insisted she is no longer prepared to stay silent forever and suggested producer Ben will question Lee directly once the opportunity arises.
“In fact, I’m going to get Ben to interview him and Ben is going to delve in deep and I want to hear everything and it’s too much and I don’t like people hurting people,” Katie said.
“That’s all I’m saying on it, I’ve not put anything up online, so you’ve heard it here for the first time.”
The discussion soon turned to reports surrounding the alleged voice recording in which Lee was said to have discussed an intimate video that “might go for a pretty penny” in an effort to raise money quickly.
Katie firmly denied that any such recording exists between the couple. “Can I just say something, number one I’ve not done a sex tape with Lee. He has said it in a voice note which I sent to you but he was joking in it…”
She continued by explaining why she has refused to publicly address the growing accusations against her husband. “Besides all of this, there is so much coming out about Lee and everyone saying ‘why isn’t Katie talking’. Do you know why I’m not talking, because there is so much, I’m just not commenting anymore.”
Katie added that she only spoke publicly when Lee initially went missing and insisted she plans to confront him personally once the situation settles.
“I commented when he went missing but he’s in prison and I will be questioning him about a lot of things when he’s out. I’m just getting on doing what I’m doing. There is so much, there is no smoke without fire.”
Sophie did not hide her feelings during the conversation, condemning the alleged comments about the supposed tape.
“The fact that he’s even talking about you in that context to his mates is fing out of order and he’s a dhead,” she said.
Katie clarified that the alleged voice note was not sent to friends, replying: “Well, it wasn’t to his mates, it was someone professional.”
The family drama deepened after Lee’s own relatives publicly distanced themselves from him.
A statement released on behalf of his sister Kelly Andrews and a family friend admitted they had been left devastated by evidence that had recently emerged.
The statement read: “Kelly Andrews and I just want to take a moment to speak the truth. Recent information shared has brought forward evidence that has left us both shocked.”
It continued: “We are the first to admit when we’re wrong, and now that there is proof, we feel it’s important to acknowledge that. We also want people to understand that this involves Kelly’s brother, which makes this incredibly painful for their family.”
The statement concluded: “The Lee we knew was never like this, which makes it even harder for us, as his sister and as a friend, to get our heads around everything that’s come to light.”
Despite the escalating controversy, Katie recently surprised followers by sharing a supportive Facebook post featuring Lee after his release from prison. Alongside a photograph highlighting his noticeably fuller head of hair, she wrote: “My man,” before adding “Hair growth journey. Handsome husband.”
The post sparked fresh debate online, with many fans questioning the supportive message after the wave of allegations and public criticism surrounding Lee.
