On Monday, Fox’s Dana Perino blew a gasket on The Five, complaining that Newsom’s all-caps social media posts — written in a pitch-perfect Trump voice — just aren’t funny.
“If you’re doing this and it’s not authentic and you’re trying to do somebody else who you say is Hitler and you think that we don’t get the joke, oh no, we get the joke, it’s just not funny,” Perino snapped.
Translation: They get the joke. They just really, really hate it.
Newsom’s Trump-Style Burner Account
The parody-style posts, published from the official Gavin Newsom Press Office account on X, have been going viral for weeks. Written in the same unhinged, rambling style as Trump’s Truth Social screeds, they mock both Fox News and Trump himself — and Republicans are clearly rattled.
One post on Monday read:
“DANA ‘DING DONG’ PERINO (NEVER HEARD OF HER UNTIL TODAY!) IS MELTING DOWN BECAUSE OF ME, GAVIN C. NEWSOM!”
Another jabbed at Trump directly:
