This Morning’s Ben Shephard screams ‘cut the feed!’ during ‘dangerous’ Jeff Brazier scooter stunt

This Morning’s Ben Shephard was left shouting for staff to ‘cut the feed’ during a live segment that showed Jeff Brazier pulling a ‘dangerous’ stunt.

Ben, 50, was joined by co-host Cat Deeley to chat live to Jeff, 46, as he appeared from Balmoral Castle in Scotland in celebration of ITV‘s latest competition.

The celebrations will see Jeff embark on a 500-mile journey from Balmoral to London‘s Buckingham Palace in just two days.

He it set to use five different modes of transport for the journey, starting it off with a bike before moving onto a blue moped to drive through Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

During the live segment, Jeff was seen pulling over to the side as cars sped past him to make an announcement ahead of the start of his journey.

‘Let’s give this a go, shall we? Are you ready?’ he told viewers, and Cat, 48, and Ben in the studio, before trying to set off on the moped.

After he revved the engine, the father-of-two barely moved from the spot.

During one segment, Jeff hopped onto a moped to cover part of his route, pulling over on the side of a bridge as cars sped past him.

He then announced: ‘Let’s give this a go shall we, are you ready?’ as he tried to set off on the moped, but it merely revved without moving.

Jeff continued: ‘No, I’m going to play safe and stay here for a second.’

But Cat and Ben were quick to notice that Jeff’s helmet wasn’t properly secured, and began shouting out to him to fix the health and safety blunder.

‘At least fasten your helmet!’ Cat cried out, with Ben adding: ‘Do up your helmet Jeff, you need to do your helmet up, Jeff, before you start.’

Jeff continued to rev the engine with his helmet still not properly secured, with Cat unable to watch as the TV presenter began speeding off.

Ben said: ‘I’m really worried about this, let’s cut the feed before something – he could go off that bridge in moments.’

The clip was abruptly removed from air, as Ben turned to Cat to add: ‘Do they realise how dangerous that is? Oh Jeffrey!

‘Jeff will be absolutely fine, I don’t think the intention was for him to drive… because I’m not sure he can! We’ll catch up with Jeff later, see if he’s still alive!’

The This Morning cameras checked in with Jeff again later in the programme, as he strolled along the road admitting he ‘wasn’t getting along’ well with the moped.

Instead, he joked he was planning to hitch a ride to help him along the journey.

It comes after This Morning viewers were left blasting presenter Alison Hammond for a string of mortifying blunders as Priscilla Presley took to the ITV studio.

The TV host, 50, was joined by co-star Dermot O’Leary, 52, for the latest episode of the show, where they interviewed the ex-wife of American rock and roll legend Elvis.

Priscilla, 80, took to the This Morning sofa to open up on her relationship with the musician after the release of her new book, Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Elvis.

But before the businesswoman and actress started talking about what readers could expect from the memoir, fans flocked to X to complain about a mistake Alison had continually made announcing the segment.

Viewers pointed out that the presenter had been mispronouncing King of Rock and Roll’s name, saying ‘Alvis’ instead of ‘Elvis’.

And as Priscilla sat down to speak, they hoped that as the singer’s ex-wife, she would ‘call out’ Alison live on air for the fumble.

During the segment, Priscilla opened up on her first meeting of the rock and roll star, who passed away in 1977 at the age of 42.

She explained how the pair met in 1959 when she was just 14, and was invited to go over to his home near the American army barracks in Bad Nauheim, Germany.

The couple were married in 1967 and had a daughter, Lisa Marie, in 1968.

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV1 from 10am and is available to stream on ITVX.
