SARAH Ferguson will be forced to find her own place after she and Prince Andrew were told to leave their long-time home at Royal Lodge.
It had been reported the pair would swap the Windsor mansion for two new properties – but sources now say Fergie won’t be offered any accommodation, while Andrew will relocate to the Sandringham Estate.
Sarah Ferguson will not be given alternative accommodation, leaving her to find her own home for the first time in years, sources say.
The Duchess, who has lived with Andrew at Royal Lodge since 2008 despite their 1996 divorce, is now facing a major upheaval after a difficult year.
Meanwhile their two children Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie will not have their titles affected by the move.
Buckingham Palace confirmed the disgraced ex-Duke will “move to alternative private accommodation”, in a statement published tonight.
While Andrew continues to deny all allegations, palace insiders say there have been “serious lapses of judgment” that left the King with no choice but to act.
In a blunt statement, Buckingham Palace said: “Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.”

It’s understood that while Andrew continues to deny all accusations linked to Jeffrey Epstein, Palace officials believe there have been “serious lapses of judgment” that could no longer be ignored.
The statement added: “Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”
Sources say King Charles personally initiated the move to strip Andrew of his honours – and that the disgraced royal did not object.
The Prince of Wales is also said to have fully supported his father’s decision, as did other senior members of the royal family.
Formal notice for Andrew to leave was issued on Thursday, with his move to Sandringham expected to take place “as soon as practicable.”
The King is expected to make “appropriate private provision” for his brother once he vacates Royal Lodge – but there’s one person who won’t be included in those arrangements.
Last month, Fergie was dropped by a string of charities after it emerged she had once written to Jeffrey Epstein, calling him a “supreme friend” -years after publicly disowning him in interviews.
A friend close to the couple said: “No-one is really sure how it’s going to go down at the Palace yet.
“Andy is willing to leave, but these are his demands. He is realistic and knows the writing is on the wall and that his time at Royal Lodge is up.”
They continued: “If he must go then he has asked for Frogmore Cottage. Incredibly Sarah has said she wants Adelaide Cottage.”
The couple, once dubbed the “Yorks of Windsor,” have shared Royal Lodge for more than 15 years, leading many to believe they had rekindled their romance.
But insiders say the forced move could finally drive a wedge between them.
They added: added: “Sarah and Andy have lived together at Royal Lodge since 2008 despite being divorced and seen like they are still a married couple.
“It’s incredible that they are willing to go their own separate ways. But it indicates that they have been under immense strain this year and need a break from one another. It’s a fresh start for both.”

The Palace describes the King’s decision as “necessary but painful,” marking another step in his bid to modernise the monarchy and move past scandal.
