Stranger Things 5 Arrives Early — Here’s How You Can Watch It!

The Upside Down is opening ahead of schedule! In a surprise announcement, Netflix has revealed that Stranger Things Season 5 Episode 1 will premiere a whole two weeks earlier than expected — and a handful of lucky fans will get to see it before the rest of the world.

The Early Premiere

Netflix will give the most devoted fans an advance viewing with exclusive late-night screenings of the Stranger Things Season 5 opener, which sees the beginning of the final battle against Vecna. Taking place in London on Thursday, November 13, 2025, the tickets will be limited, with only a small number of ballot-only tickets available. Fans will be encouraged to come dressed in their best ’80s-inspired outfits for this special screening, which is set to be one of the series’s most-anticipated chapters yet.

According to sources, Episode 1, titled “Chapter One: The Crawl, picks up directly from the explosive Season 4 finale no timeskips, no slow burn, just chaos right off the bat. They say Eleven and the gang are in full-combat mode, readying for a final battle against Vecna as Hawkins further descends into the shadow of the Upside Down.

What to Expect

The Duffer Brothers, showrunners of the series, have already teased that the season will “open like a movie,” throwing viewers directly into the action rather than the calm-before-the-storm format of previous years. Set in 1987, the story sees Hawkins under military lockdown, Eleven back in hiding, and the group desperately trying to locate Vecna before his next move tears reality apart.

According to sources close to production, this episode boasts some of the largest set-pieces ever constructed for the series: a mix of practical effects, large-scale destruction, and a much darker tone that sets up the rest of the season.

The Final Countdown

While the special screening happens two weeks early, the full global launch remains set for November 26, with Volume 2 dropping on Christmas Day and the epic finale arriving December 31 both in theaters and on Netflix.
