I DIDN’T think we’d all survive to tell this tale, so I have no idea how the cast are feeling, but here we are – the end of MAFS 2025.
We’ve just got the reunion, but we need to flip back to girls’ and boys’ night and then we will get into final vows.
Julia-Ruth really said ‘I’m here. You all hate me, I’m in the villain era, so let’s go, round two, ding ding ding’. The girl is giving me PTSD every single time she comes on my screen.
God forbid if she was in my season because I got absolutely berated and attacked for touching someone’s shoe and grabbing a Costa with him.
The girl went on holiday with one of the boys and then DMing the next one ready to go on a date with him for when she got back. We rate that she’s just getting them all ready and lined up to go. I do feel like Julia- Ruth is not the only culprit here. I feel like it’s partly the boys as well.
It takes two to tango and all that.
The only thing I will say. I do understand what it feels like to come out of the experiment and not really have a conversation with people, and I can see how those bonds are made with other members of the cast that you didn’t necessarily have a connection with in the show.
I obviously made a really good friendship with one of the boys that I didn’t have a connection with in the show, however, that’s one thing. There is another thing to slide in their DMs two days later and then go on holiday with him, sleep with him, try and build a relationship with him.
BAD BOYS
Obviously Joe goes to Julia-Ruth. Are we surprised? This feels like this is Joe’s real MO. This is what he does. So at least he’s consistent. That’s the problem here.
I think it’s about reading the room and I think it’s about how these boys treated the girls. Maeve and Nelly were left very hurt and very disrespected and let down by their husbands. Joe said to Maeve that he loved her and then two days later was going on holiday with someone else and also messaging her from the plane saying ‘let’s meet up’.
Joe really forgot that he was trying to not be the bad boy
and then he became the bad boy all over again. At least he’s consistent with the ghosting. That’s what he does.
Then they went and got matching tattoos that say ‘why not?’, which I think just really proves the intentions here.
I really, really want to love Julia-Ruth because I love her confidence and I love how out there she is, but her social media, making all these music videos, is just not really showing the sincere apologies that I think we all want to see as viewers.
Then Steven just being Steven and saying ‘Oh I don’t know it wasn’t my fault, sorry again’. At least there’s some consistency here from the boys that they’re all just lying and not being credible.
I do feel like the women on this season are doing very well with their confrontations, and I think the girls from my season can learn a lot of lessons here.
Yes, you’re allowed to get angry. Yes, you’re allowed to raise your voice and you’re allowed to put your point across in a slightly aggressive way to an extent, but you don’t get personal, you don’t call names, you don’t scream in people’s faces and swear at them, which is what the girls did to me.
Whereas this season, Nelly, for example, absolute queen the way she deals with confrontation. It is admirable. Even Maeve, yes, you’re angry but there was a relatively all right bit of confrontation there when it didn’t get too aggressive and I really rate that from the girls.
On the final dinner party there is only really one point to make here and it’s the whole Leisha, Leah, Leigh triangle situation. From someone that is quite a friendly girl, I do kiss some of my friends on the lips.
However, I do think the double standards are really real here and I think Leah had every right to say, ‘listen, you had an issue with me doing it and me flirting with Leisha. So why is it okay for you to do it?’
I really like Leigh, but I do think the way that she made a joke straight away didn’t land very well. I think it was just her way of like softening the blow a little bit. Leah’s got a point there with the double standards.
HAPPILY EVER AFTER
As much as all these couples have been appallingly matched this year, we have had quite a few that have made it to final vows, so let’s get the happy ones out the way.
Abi and John; obsessed. They are just like a fairytale dream, and if they’re not still together I don’t think I believe in love anymore. If I’m honest, I love them. I also thought their vows were stunning like really pretty really from the heart and I’m just rooting for them.
Bailey and Becca, again, rooting for them. Really hope they pulled through. I do just feel a little bit disappointed here in Married at First Sight because I feel like they’ve really set them up to fail.
This distance thing is going to be such a big deal. I think both of them have got really valid points. Neither of them wants to leave their hometowns and their houses. Becca’s house is unreal. I would not want to leave there anytime soon, and I think this is really harsh of MAFS to match them up different sides of the country. One’s got a business, one’s got a child, it’s not going to work. But hopefully it does.
Davide and Keye. I really, really, really hope that Keye doesn’t hurt Davide. because I just think he’s the purest gorgeous soul. He’s my favorite person from the whole season and I just think he really deserves the love that he’s craving, and I hope that Keye can give him that. I think their homestay was obviously a bit of a tricky one. I really hope that that hasn’t tainted too much and they can really go into each other’s worlds.
I think Davide needs protecting. I feel like that guy has just got an absolute heart of gold and he’s so nervous. I hope Keye bundles him up, loves him and just really supports him.
FAKE CLAIM
Reiss and Leisha. I’m just not buying it. I feel like Leisha is running in all guns blazing saying she loves him and really going for it and really being heartfelt.
I really hate to say it because I love Leisha, but I think he’s played a bit of a game and I don’t think he’s really that into her, which I’m really sad to have to admit.
That is my personal opinion and I think she’s going to get really hurt and I’m already dreading it for her.
We then obviously finish on Leah and Leigh and they have called it quits. I’m not sure if anyone’s really surprised with that. I think they clung on for longer than they were meant to but I rate them and I do feel like they really tried to understand each other and really tried to learn about each other.
I really like them both and I really hope they find their happy ever after with other people because they both deserve it in their own way, and I hope they can still be friends as well.
We just have the reunion now, and the reunion looks like even more tea is being spilled. Maeve’s still fuming, there’s obviously still beef between Nelly and Steven.
I’ve got a feeling one couple from the final vows is going to come in separately. I think i know who it is but I’m going to keep it quiet just in case.
I’m exhausted, but I’m so ready for two more episodes and then we are closing the chapter on 2025!
