Former Little Mix member Jade met the Girls Aloud chart-topper 16 years ago when she first auditioned for The X Factor.
Judging the popular ITV programme at the time, Cheryl posed for a quick backstage snap with a then 15-year-old Jade.
The picture has now come back up after the pair reunited last week at the Harper’s Bazaar Women Of The Year event.
Looking totally different, fans can’t believe how unrecognisable they are as Cheryl, then 25, smiled for the iconic image.
“Nobody understands how much this means to me,” one follower penned in the post’s comments section.
While someone else said, “The angels of the north.”
Drawing direct comparison with the pair reuniting on the red carpet, a third wrote, “My two worlds colliding we need a collab.”
Someone else said, “Love u girls and Thanks for the music of my Life.”
A final concluded, “Best geordies reunite.”
Jade is seen with a short bob, appearing shellshocked at meeting Cheryl, failing to strike a smile in the grainy image.
But now, over a decade later, the two posed up a storm as they beamed for photographers at the glitzy showbiz event.
Cheryl, now 42, stole the spotlight in a chic black satin dress with a boxy neckline, flowing effortlessly to the floor.
Covering her shoes, it featured lace detailing on the chest.
She finished the look by tying her hair up out of her face and accessorised with a pair of small silver studs and a glossy, natural pink lip.
Posing in the winner’s room with Jade, now 32, the younger of the two was all smiles, clutching the Musician Award.
She wore an asymmetrical off-the-shoulder red dress with an embossed pattern and a draping on the right-hand side.
It fell to the floor in its formal beauty, hugging her waist and hips.
Jade finished off her outfit with dramatic winged eyeliner and a bold brown lip combo, and her hair flowed down her back in natural, loose waves.
It was Cheryl’s first red carpet appearance since the funeral of her former partner, Liam Payne, just last month.
