Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash have shared a major new announcement just moments after wrapping up the very first season of their reality series — and the news comes right after Joe’s cheeky “baby number seven” hint sent fans into a frenzy.

The beloved celebrity couple tied the knot in 2022 in a beautiful ceremony at their Essex home, Pickle Cottage, two and a half years after getting engaged. Together, they share three young children — Rex (5), Rose (3), and Belle (2) — and are devoted parents to their teenage sons Harry, Zachary, and Leighton from previous relationships.

Last month, Stacey and Joe opened their doors to TV cameras for the first time in their BBC One show Stacey & Joe, which premiered on April 1.
The six-part series offers a “refreshingly honest” look into their lively blended family — the chaos, the humour, and the warmth fans adore.
On Tuesday night (May 6), the emotional series finale aired, with the couple reflecting on a whirlwind 2024.
In a quiet moment, Joe told Stacey:

“Next year is the year of enlightenment for me — I’m going to find out who Joe Swash really is.”
Stacey smiled back:
“That’s exciting, babe.”
But Joe quickly followed it with the line that sent viewers buzzing:
“Or maybe we can make another kid next year.”
Stacey immediately shut it down with a laugh:
“I don’t think so. I don’t think we even had sex in 2024. We haven’t seen each other!”
Yet the biggest surprise was still to come.

BBC CONFIRMS A SECOND SERIES — AND CAMERAS ARE ALREADY ROLLING
Just as fans thought the finale marked the end, the BBC officially announced that Stacey & Joe will return for a second season — and filming has already begun.
The new series will reveal even more candid family moments, including a special trip Stacey and Joe have been preparing for.
In a joint statement, the couple said:
“A huge thank you to every single person who watched the first series of Stacey and Joe. We’re so grateful for all the lovely messages, and we’re so excited to bring another series to the BBC.”
BBC’s Head of Commissioning, Clare Sillery, added:
“We’re delighted to be working with the Solomon–Swash family again on what already promises to be a wonderfully exciting second series.”
Charlotte Brookes, Head of Popular Factual at Optomen, said:
“We’re thrilled with how Series 1 performed and delighted to continue filming the next chapter for Stacey, Joe, and their ever-growing family at Pickle Cottage.”
The second series will air on BBC One, featuring six hour-long episodes. An official launch date will be revealed soon.
