It comes as I’m A Celeb viewers only just realised a key staple of the show had been omitted from the latest series.

Namely, ‘secret missions’, which saw two celebs undertake random challenges in a bid to win care packages for camp – with varying degrees of success.

Noting the absence of the segment, one Reddit user wrote: ‘There were no secret missions this year!

‘I love it when a couple of the campmates go undercover and start doing random missions without the rest of the group knowing. It is so funny.’

Fans were quick to comment on the Reddit post to admit that they too had noticed the absence of this part of the show – with some describing producers’ decision to axe it as a mistake, especially with this year’s lineup.

They wrote: ‘It’s surprising that they didn’t do this with Aitch and Ginge in the jungle. They would have been perfect for secret missions.’;

‘I would also love it if they just make up a task and pretended the producers had told them to do it. Like a fake secret task.’;

‘Martin would’ve been a great choice. He would’ve got the giggles so much.’

Reflecting on a past secret mission, one fan admitted: ‘One of my favourite moments of last year was Danny’s face when he had to hide that mannequin.’

Another Reddit user, meanwhile, noted that the secret missions could well have taken place in this year’s season but simply did not make the cut for the final show itself.

They wrote: ‘I work under the assumption that sometimes they probably do tasks and stuff that either were boring or didn’t work, so they just don’t bother showing them.

‘Nature of the show is they’re condensing 24 hours worth of content cross a dozen people into a 60 minute show with ad breaks. They probably film a lot of stuff that never makes the edit cause it just wasn’t worth dedicating time too on the show.’
