A beloved Stranger Things actor is set to make a dramatic departure from the Netflix sensation, appearing in a popular finance drama.
Charlie Heaton, who shot to fame as Jonathan Byers in the 1980s sci-fi series, is preparing to bid farewell to his career-defining role.
The final four instalments of Stranger Things will be released between Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, marking the end for the much-loved characters. However, fans won’t have to wait long to see Heaton back on their screens.
The 31-year-old features in the forthcoming fourth season of HBO and BBC‘s office drama, Industry, which debuts on January 11.
For those yet to tune in, the gripping drama follows a group of young bankers and traders making their way in a leading investment bank in London, reports the Mirror.

Over its run, the show has attracted big names to its cast, including Game of Thrones’ Kit Harington, who has rapidly become a regular fixture on the drama.
In the newly-released trailer, released on December 22, Harington is seen deepening his relationship with fan favourite Yasmin (Marisa Abela).
Meanwhile, lead character Harper (Myha’la) is briefly shown chatting with financial journalist Jim Dycker, portrayed by Heaton.
Despite his fleeting appearance in the trailer, it’s evident that the Stranger Things star is taking on a starkly different role compared to his well-known portrayal of the introverted teenager.
He swaps his typical ’80s wardrobe for contemporary clothing and exudes more confidence than we’ve ever seen from Jonathan.
