We haven’t heard the last of Oasis as Noel Gallagher has declared it ‘would be an honour’ to sing the next James Bond theme song.
Names like Raye and Sam Fender have been floating around for a while, but Oasis have been in the mix after their historic comeback tour.
Noel, 58, has made no secret of his love for 007, previously confessing he’s written a few potential tracks for the franchise.
Recently, rumours spread that the Supersonic icons had been asked to put together a title song for the new Amazon MGM project, but apparently, bosses have yet to reach out.
‘This James Bond thing? What, Oasis? Nah,’ Noel told Talksport, dashing our dreams of this ultimate Brit culture crossover.
He did say Oasis would ‘absolutely’ be up for recording it, calling it an ‘absolute honour’ for the band, who many are hoping will release new music.

In a nod to his criticism of Jack White’s Quantum of Solace, Noel added: ‘I think those kinds of things should be done by Brits, not Yanks.’
The vast majority of modern Bond themes have been done by American artists, in fact, Adele was the first British artist since Duran Duran to take on the tune.
She was followed by Sam Smith before a trip back over the pond to Billie Eilish for Daniel Craig’s exiting movie, No Time To Die.
But so far there’s been no word from the big Bond bosses, who are taking over full creative control for the first time since the exit of Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson.
Canadian director Denis Villeneuve, best known for leading the Dune franchise, will be at the helm of the next movie, which is expected to go into production next year.
We’re yet to meet our new 007, with Callum Turner odds-on to be cast in the iconic role, with other names like Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Theo James still in the running.
Throwing his hat (or should that be Liam’s tambourine) into the ring, Noel joked: ‘I’ll play a villain. I’ll play a Mancunian villain’.
A source previously shared to The Sun that ‘Liam’s swagger and Noel’s anthemic music would be perfect to soundtrack the new film’.
They shared: ‘The 007 films are one of the great British franchises. And who better to record the theme song than one of the greatest ever British bands?

‘It is no secret that Noel is a big fan of the Bond films and he would love to have his name listed as one of the few songwriters of a Bond theme amongst greats like Sir Paul McCartney, Duran Duran, and Adele.’
Noel previously admitted he’s already written a number of songs that could be used as themes for a Bond movie.
‘They haven’t got very Bond-esque titles, so I would have to tailor the title accordingly,’ he admitted. ‘The latest one that I wrote, I listened back to it thinking, “F****** hell man, that’d make a f****** great Bond theme”.’
It’s not hard to imagine the man behind Champagne Supernova, Don’t Look Back in Anger, and Acquiesce could pen an earthshattering Bond track.
