Jess Wright has admitted her three-year-old son’s behaviour has left her questioning if she’s a good mum.

The former TOWIE star, 40, welcomed Presley into the world three years ago with husband, William Lee-Kemp, and often shares sweet snaps of the family on Instagram. However, in a recent podcast, Jess, who is the sister of reality star, Mark Wright, revealed Presley’s behaviour has been “so and up and down”, it has left her in tears.

Speaking to her mum, Carole, and sister, Natalya, 25, on their The Wright at Home podcast, she said: “I was in tears this morning questioning my parenting. I was with someone and they were like, ‘you’re doing a good job, you’re a good mum,’ and I just broke because I was like, his behaviour at the minute is so up and down. Everything he does, I question if I’m doing the right thing.”

Holding back tears, Jess continued: “I don’t mean to get upset, it’s just so intense. They wake up through the night, your lack of sleep. And then he goes through phases where he wants my husband, he wants Will.

“He’s like, ‘no, daddy, daddy’ and then you’re like, oh my god, he doesn’t even want me, which I know is subjective – one minute he wants me, then he wants his dad, whatever.

“And then you’re like, am I doing right by him because is he getting his goodness? It’s honestly like a minefield.”

Pointing out that Presley, who was diagnosed with a rare heart condition last year, can sometimes be very well behaved, Jess said: “A month ago I was saying to Will how I’m so proud that I’m his mum.

“He’s the best child he’s so well-behaved, so calm, so sweet, and then he just goes through this phase.”

Reassuring her daughter, mum-of-four, Carole, said: “Every mother does that, it’s a worry.” Meanwhile, Natalya echoed: “He’s a young child, they’re going to go through ups and downs. I think it would be abnormal for a child not to do that, I think any other mum would agree.”

The popular podcast racked up almost 27,000 views in 16 hours on TikTok as listeners flocked to offer Jess advice. One promised: “It’s ALL A PHASE…. I promise you.”

Another added: “He’s human. He’s not going to be well behaved every minute or every day. We aren’t perfect as adults every day so please don’t fret it.”

A third commented: “You’re a good mummy Jessica.” Meanwhile, a fourth praised Jess for being honest, commenting: “At least you’re honest, it does get easier.”

At the same time, another fan responded: “You spend your life wondering if you’re doing it right. Trust me you’re doing fine, Jess.”
