A distressed Stacey Solomon was spotted taking a rare cigarette break outside her local veterinary clinic on Wednesday, as emotions ran high over her beloved family dog, Teddy.

The 35-year-old TV personality, known for her bubbly persona, looked visibly shaken as she stepped out with her cocker spaniel, Teddy — who has tragically lost all feeling in his hind legs. Just last month, Stacey revealed the devastating news that her dog’s days could be numbered.
Thankfully, fans were later reassured when Stacey updated that Teddy’s condition had stabilized somewhat. She explained that his paralysis stems from a genetic condition the family hadn’t previously known about. However, the outlook remains uncertain. “The next few weeks are crucial,” she admitted, “and even if he survives, he may not fully recover.”
The usually upbeat presenter appeared somber as she walked Teddy, supported by a specialized harness, back to her car. Taking note of a “no smoking” sign on the clinic’s wall, Stacey respectfully moved to a nearby curb before lighting up, lost in thought.
After her vet consultation, she sat briefly next to her car, scrolling through her phone and processing the moment. Later, she took to Instagram to update her followers, sharing an adorable snap of Teddy and writing:
“We went for a check-up at the vet this morning. He’s doing well. Still no feeling in his toes but he is happy and healthy otherwise, which is all we can hope for.
Not going to lie—when the vet said I was doing a great job, I may have cried. It’s been a crazy two and a half weeks.”
But Stacey’s emotional day didn’t end there.
That evening, the final episode of her reality series with husband Joe Swash, Stacey & Joe: Full House, aired. She turned to Instagram once again to reflect:
“The girls have gone to bed and I’m getting ready to watch our show… I’ve just realised it’s the last episode tonight—it’s gone so quickly. I just wanted to say thank you for watching it and supporting us.”

The series has chronicled Stacey and Joe’s chaotic yet heartwarming journey raising their young children Rex, five, Rose, three, and Belle, two, as well as Stacey’s two older sons, Zachary, 17, and Leighton, 12.
However, the raw portrayal hasn’t been without backlash.

According to The Sun, Stacey is reportedly feeling regretful about opening up so much on screen. “She’s not used to this kind of criticism,” a source said. “She’s always been golden.”

Stacey has apparently taken issue with how she and Joe come across during their arguments — which viewers witness unfiltered. With Joe’s ADHD and poor time management clashing against Stacey’s meticulous planning, tension has clearly bubbled up.

“She feels like she’s coming across as bossy,” a friend said. “Joe depends on her for everything, which makes her the ‘grown-up’ in the relationship. It’s caused friction.”
One standout episode shows Stacey breaking down in frustration after Joe missed an important work meeting — despite her pleading with him beforehand. He had gone fishing with friends and showed up five hours late.
In an interview ahead of the show’s launch, Stacey and Joe insisted on keeping the real moments in, saying:
“So many people show perfect lives on Instagram. We didn’t want to do that.”
“What you see is what you get,” Stacey added. “We’re not perfect, and that’s OK.”

They even revealed that watching their own arguments back has helped more than couples therapy ever could.
One thing is certain: whether she’s navigating pet heartbreak, public backlash, or parenting chaos, Stacey Solomon is doing it all with honesty — and her fans are right there with her.
