BBC The Traitors confirms Roxy’s missing reaction scene will air tonight after backlash

The Traitors viewers were left frustrated after Roxy’s reaction to discovering the real Traitors failed to air on the Uncloaked spin-off show, but it will finally air this evening

Fans of The Traitors were left fuming after a pivotal moment was missing from spin-off show Uncloaked – despite many viewers tuning in solely to witness that particular revelation.

Audiences usually watch recently booted contestants learn the real identities of the Traitors on the companion programme, which airs straight after the main show on BBC One and is hosted by Ed Gamble.

Wednesday night (January 22) witnessed Roxy’s murder at the hands of the Traitors. Following her exit, host Claudia Winkleman revealed Roxy’s secret connection to Judy to the remaining players, who were stunned by the bombshell that the duo were mother and daughter.

After learning of her elimination by the Traitors, Roxy told cameras she hoped either Stephen or Rachel would make it to the final and secure the win, believing both were fellow Faithfuls, reports Wales Online. As viewers know, the pair are actually both Traitors.

“I’m so proud of myself for getting this far,” she said. “I would love for Stephen or Rachel to win. I think they’re both amazing people and I think they, hopefully, are being Faithful and honest throughout the process but honestly, it has been a ball,” reports the Express.

Those who flicked over to Uncloaked, expecting to see Roxy’s reaction to discovering the Traitors’ real identities, were left bitterly disappointed when the segment never appeared.

One fan said: “Only watched uncloaked to see Roxy open the envelope which reveals the traitors. They’ve rage baited me twice in half hour.” Another said: “Uncloaked not showing Roxy’s reaction to finding out the traitors is an actual war crime.”

The BBC has now confirmed the missing scene will air tonight after the announcement of which contestant faces banishment next. A BBC spokesperson said: “I can confirm that Roxy’s reaction will be shown on tonight’s episode of Uncloaked.”

Following the news, one fan excitedly wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “I can’t wait to see Roxy’s reaction on Uncloaked when she learns who the Traitors are. Truly one of the worst players ever bless her.”

Usually, both the eliminated and exiled contestants are revealed during the same episode and appear together on Uncloaked, but yesterday’s programme ended with a gripping cliffhanger.

Failing to achieve agreement on their selection of who to exile, the Round Table vote produced a stalemate between Rachel and James. When a follow-up voting session likewise couldn’t break the deadlock, fate decided their fates.

Each chose a box presented by host Claudia Winkleman, knowing that whoever opened the container holding a shield would stay protected.

This evening’s episode, broadcasting at the marginally postponed time of 8.30pm on BBC One and iPlayer, will reveal whether Rachel or James exits the contest.

The Traitors Series 4 finale airs tonight (January 23) at 8.30pm on BBC One with all episodes available to stream after broadcast on BBC iPlayer.
