ITV recently premiered Code of Silence featuring Rose Ayling-Ellis’ return to prime time TV in an enthralling new police drama.
The six-part series centres on Rose’s character Alison Brooks, a deaf civilian who becomes deeply involved in an intricate police case.
Employed at the Canterbury police station canteen and moonlighting at a café, Alison struggles financially.
Her world is, however, transformed when detectives seek her help on a major criminal investigation.
Alison keeps tabs on a group of criminals, using her impressive lip-reading abilities to collect key intel.
Her deafness is a crucial element of the story, offering viewers an insightful look into her day-to-day encounters, reports Wales Online.

The series, conceived by The Stolen Girl’s Catherine Moulton and based on her personal experiences with hearing impairment, is led by Kin’s Diarmuid Goggins as the principal director.
The cast includes Charlotte Richie, known from Call the Midwife, as DS Ashleigh Francis and Andrew Buchan as DI James Marsh. Audiences were quick to react after the first episode aired on ITV.

Fans flocked to X, previously recognized as Twitter, to express their opinions. One viewer commented: “15 mins in to Code Of Silence and already hooked! Rose Ayling-Ellis is truly outstanding! loving the music (we all knew i’d comment on this hahaha) and also the cool toned colour grading is perrrrfect!”.
Another fan praised: “@AylingElli82298 Brilliant acting in Code of Silence. You are a great actress.”
Meanwhile, another viewer commented: “Code of Silence is brilliant so far. Rose is fantastic.”
Viewers can look forward to the next five episodes of the captivating drama, which will be broadcast weekly until mid-June.
