Pete Wicks has thrilled fans with a heartfelt announcement: he’s officially returning as a team captain for CoppaFeel!’s One Day CoppaTrek! charity challenge. The Strictly Come Dancing 2024 star will join the Iceland-based trek this July, walking 58km over three days alongside 60 inspirational individuals — all united in the fight against late breast cancer diagnoses.

Pete’s decision follows his emotional support of best mate Sam Thompson, who recently completed a grueling 260-mile Soccer Aid challenge for UNICEF. Sam was visibly moved when Pete surprised him at the finish line, and now Pete is stepping up for a new cause of his own.
Sharing the news on Instagram, Pete wrote: “BIG NEWS! I’ll be once again joining my @coppafeel family and @mrsgifletcher as a CoppaTrek! TEAM CAPTAIN. This July I’ll be heading to Iceland for a 5-day adventure with 60 amazing humans – all committed to saving lives by encouraging people to check their chests.”

He continued: “I did my first CoppaTrek in the Sahara in 2022, then Mont Blanc in 2023 – and both times I was blown away by the strength and resilience of everyone involved. I cannot wait to meet my new team.”
The announcement drew immediate support. Giovanna Fletcher exclaimed, “And we go AGAIN!!!” while Sam Thompson commented, “What a man!!” Fans flooded Pete with praise for his compassion and consistency in backing important causes.

Pete’s journey with CoppaFeel! is more than a celebrity commitment — it’s become a personal mission. And with his signature humour and heart, the trek through Iceland promises not only emotional moments but also a powerful reminder of what solidarity looks like.
