Stacey Solomon is preparing for a major family milestone at home with Joe Swash and her five children, although she admits the occasion is going to be an emotional one

Stacey Solomon confessed she’s “going to cry all day” as she issued a “really sad” family update. Stacey, 36, recently showed social media followers a glimpse of her children dressed up for World Book Day.
Her son Rex, six, dressed up as the Diary of a Wimpy Kid, while daughter Rose, four, donned a Matilda outfit and three-year-old Belle spent the day as Little Red Riding Hood. However Stacey revealed her eldest children Leighton, 13, and Zachary, 17, didn’t take part in the annual occasion.
It comes as Zachary prepares for his 18th birthday later this month. Stacey admits Zachary’s milestone birthday will be an emotional affair for the family.
Speaking to Scott Mills on BBC Radio 2, Stacey said: “Zach is going to be 18 this month. I’ve got an 18 year old, I know, it actually makes me really sad. I think I’m going to cry all day on his birthday.
“I’ve got a fully-grown adult human son. When I did the X Factor he was one…he was one! Seventeen years ago.”
Stacey has regularly discussed becoming a first-time mother as a teenager. In a touching Mother’s Day post in 2023 she admitted she “barely remembers life” before motherhood.
She wrote: “I’ve been a mum since I was 17 years old. I barely remember life before becoming [a] mum. I do remember all of the looks I’d get and all of the things that people would say when they saw a ‘child raising a child’.
“I can’t believe I am now a mummy of five. And all I can say is, not one of those judgments or opinions back then were true. No matter how real they felt I look at each of them now and I have never felt so proud.”
She went on to praise her children, adding: “Every single one of you have made me who I am. I’m so grateful for you all. And it’s the biggest privilege raising you all. Forever my little pickles.”
Stacey shares Rex, Rose and Belle with husband Joe Swash, who she met on the set of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, while Zachary and Leighton are from previous relationships. She is also stepmum to Joe’s 18-year-old son Harry, who he shares with Emma Sophocleous.
Elsewhere, Stacey recently revealed she was “so emotional” when the family decided to take a skiing holiday to Switzerland during the recent half-term. They were joined on the getaway by Stacey’s family, including sister Jemma, as well as Joe’s mum, Kitty, and his brother.
Stacey shared a picture of the break with her 6.1 million Instagram followers. Posting an image of the sun rising across the mountains, she said: “Seeing this makes me feel emotional. It doesn’t even look real out here.
“Hope you’re all ok. My brother lives here so I’ve been catching up with him & now time for some family ski [face holding back tears emoji].”

She went on to share a video from her ‘favourite run’ that she took part in with Leighton, Rex and her brother. She admitted that she’s “forever grateful to be here”. The Sort Your Life Out star however quipped that Leighton was “too cool” for pictures with his mum.
She added: “A rare picture with Leighton, who is far too cool for me now.”
She described Zachary as the “‘the bravest of us all” for asking to have a lesson with an off piste jumping teacher as well as praising Belle for her skiing skills. Stacey wrote: “This actually makes me so emotional. Belle, you did so well this year. I can’t believe I get to do this with you at this age. What a super privilege.”
