Carson Daly is a proud father of four to son Jackson and daughters Etta, London and Goldie.

The Today co-host and his wife, cookbook author Siri Pinter Daly, met in 2005 when she was working as a writer’s assistant on the Last Call with Carson Daly and started dating shortly after. Four years later, Carson and Siri welcomed their first child together, son Jackson.

Having his son helped Carson put his own priorities into perspective. “I just want to slow down and enjoy every second,” he told Parade in 2012. “I lost my father at a young age so fatherhood holds a special place to me.”

Prior to Carson and Siri’s wedding on Dec. 23, 2015, the couple welcomed two daughters: Etta in 2012 and London in 2014.

In 2020, their family grew once again with the birth of their fourth child, daughter Goldie. Speaking to PEOPLE two years later, The Voice host, who has been open about his mental health struggles, referred to her as a “bright spot” during the otherwise anxiety-inducing pandemic.

As a dedicated advocate for mental wellness, Carson has made open communication a big part of his approach to parenting. “I’ve always talked to them like they were 30 years old,” he told PEOPLE in October 2024. “I’ve always intellectually given them the benefit of the doubt.”

Here’s everything to know about Carson Daly’s four kids: Jackson, Etta, London and Goldie.

Jackson James Daly, 17

Carson and Siri welcomed their first child, and only son, Jackson James Daly, on March 15, 2009.

When the former TRL host attended the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, he brought his son along for the ride. “He’s my mini-me. I get that everywhere I go,” Carson said on Today of their striking resemblance.

But it’s not just his looks. Jackson appears to be following in his famous father’s footsteps when it comes to a potential career. He has appeared on NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt: Kids Edition numerous times starting when he was only 11 years old.

As a correspondent on the show, Jackson has had the opportunity to interview plenty of A-listers, including Matthew McConaughey, Tiger Woods and the cast of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

“I’ve learned a lot [from my dad],” Jackson shared on the Today show in April 2022. “I learned that you always have to be prepared and just act like you’re having a conversation. Big celebrities are just regular people.”

Carson has been a television staple since before Jackson was born, so it’s no surprise that the teen is comfortable in front of the camera. In fact, the proud dad has described him as “a natural interviewer” and praised his budding journalism skills.

“Jackson is good in any room,” he told Today in June 2023. “He’s a really old soul, and mature beyond his years.”

Part of that comes from his upbringing in the industry. “He’s been in a lot of adult situations. I mean, he grew up backstage at The Voice,” Carson explained.

However, he noted that nature has a lot to do with his son’s talent as well. “Jack is just a really good egg. He’s a sponge. He loves to come to work with me — he watches what everyone is doing,” Carson said.

In March 2024, Jackson turned 15, which came with a new milestone. “He’s starting to drive, so that’s been kind of crazy,” Carson told PEOPLE the following month.

Aside from driving lessons, the father-son duo enjoys bonding over golf.

“My son Jack plays golf, he loves it,” Carson told Kingdom Magazine in September 2016, adding that his then 7-year-old had just started to learn the sport. “He listens, he’s patient. We could go out and play nine holes of golf and he’d behave and be happy he’s there.”

Since then, Jackson has joined his dad on the golf course several times, including in December 2024 during the PNC Championship in Florida where the pair played against Woods and his son, Charlie. Carson shared photos of the event on Instagram, calling it an “absolutely incredible day.”

Etta Jones Daly, 13

Carson’s oldest daughter, Etta Jones Daly, was born on Sept. 6, 2012.

“Tonight at 5:15 p.m. we welcomed the latest addition to our family,” The Voice host wrote on his Facebook page at the time. “Etta Jones Daly weighs 8 lbs. and is beautiful!”

The couple’s eldest daughter’s name holds a special meaning and honors both of their families. “Etta is Siri’s grandmother’s name, Henrietta. It was an homage to her,” Carson explained to PEOPLE in 2013. As for her middle name, Jones is his middle name and his mother’s maiden name.

While her parents and older brother enjoy being in the public eye, Etta prefers to be a bit more low-key.

“All my kids are so different from each other — and I’m glad they are,” Carson told Today in 2023. “It’s so much more entertaining.”

Although Etta has appeared on the Today show alongside her siblings, she’s the most “reserved” of the bunch. Carson has also described her as an incredibly “independent” spirit. “Etta was the first kid of mine to go upstairs and put herself to bed,” he said.

She’s also highly creative and is drawn to theater, art and fashion. “Anything having to do with the performing arts, she loves,” Carson said, noting that Etta goes to theater camp.

London Rose Daly, 11

On Aug. 20, 2014, Carson and Siri welcomed another daughter, London Rose Daly. The following day, the couple announced her arrival on the Today show.

The proud new dad joined his Today co-hosts via a Facetime video and said, “Baby and Siri are right here. They’re doing very well. It’s incredible.”

Carson went on to explain the special meaning behind her moniker. The couple wanted to find a name that “matched” Jackson and Etta, but they also wanted something that honored her lineage.

“Rose was my grandma’s name,” Carson shared. “Etta was Siri’s grandma’s name so we have a lot of family history in the names.”

They hadn’t fully decided on a name prior to her birth, though. “Even when little London came out, we were still throwing out our last-minute short list, and London Rose Daly was the one,” Carson said.

Although her given name is sentimental, London is known as “Chungy” at home.

“It’s a nickname that comes from a meme where Bugs Bunny turns angry,” Carson told Today in 2023. “She’s volatile — but in a funny way. She’s like a comedian. She loves to entertain and make people laugh.”

Over the years, Today show audiences have seen London’s personality shine. In 2021, when Carson was filming at home, the then-6-year-old stole the spotlight with her dance moves. As the co-host was delivering his PopStart segment, London could be seen making silly faces and dancing behind him.

“I’m sorry, I’m distracted. London has joined the fray,” he said before bringing her up to sit on his lap. He then reminded his costars about the fact that “Lolo,” as he affectionately called her, similarly crashed one of his at-home segments the previous year when he gave himself a haircut.

Turning to his daughter, Carson asked, “You don’t get embarrassed?” to which she replied, “No. I like dancing.”

Indeed, The Voice host has praised London’s self-confidence. “[She] marches to the beat of her own drum,” he told Today. “London is truly one of a kind.”

Goldie Patricia Daly, 5

Carson and Siri welcomed their youngest daughter, Goldie Patricia Daly, during the pandemic, on March 26, 2020.

The TV host shared the exciting news of her arrival with a lengthy Instagram post, thanking the hospital staff.

“She was born at 4:08pm (ET) coming in at 8.2lbs & 20 inches long. Go Go and mom are doing great,” he wrote alongside a photo of him and Siri with their newborn. “The Daly family wants to send a special shout out to the incredibly brave & selfless medical staff at our hospital in New York and also the many courageous people on the front lines of this dreadful virus.”

The following day, Carson joined his co-hosts on the Today show via video to update them on the new addition to his family.

“I wake up today just profoundly moved by two things. Number one, the strength of my wife,” he said, calling Siri “a superstar, a superhero” and applauding her ability to navigate pregnancy and childbirth during the pandemic. “I wake up enamored by her and also by the medical staff we worked with last night,” Carson added.

Like her two older sisters, Goldie’s name was chosen for a special reason. Her middle name, Patricia, is an homage to Carson’s late mother, who died of a heart attack in 2017.

As for the name Goldie, Carson explained that he wanted to find something Irish due to his ancestry and happened to come across the name on St. Patrick’s Day morning.

“I thought, this is our fourth kid. She seems like the pot of gold at the end of our family rainbow,” he said.
