It’s a big day for residents of Walnut Grove.
Netflix has finally unveiled the first look at its much-anticipated Little House on the Prairie reboot — and that’s not all. The streamer has confirmed that the fresh telling of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s story will span at least two seasons. Ahead of its debut, Little House has officially been renewed for a second season.
Showrunner Rebecca Sonnenshine (The Boys, Vampire Diaries) celebrated the news in a statement to Tudum, sharing, “I’m incredibly grateful to our wonderful cast and crew, who put their hearts and hard work into making our first season come alive. We can’t wait to share this new adaptation of the Little House books with the world, and we’re thrilled that Netflix is giving us the opportunity to continue the story.”

The reboot series stars Alice Halsey (Lessons in Chemistry) as the strong-willed hero at the center of the novels. Skywalker Hughes (I, Object) will play Laura’s older sister, Mary, while Luke Bracey (Hacksaw Ridge) stars as their father, Charles Ingalls, and Crosby Fitzgerald (Crime 101) plays their mother, Caroline Ingalls.
