A BBC COMEDY star has revealed how he has become a dad for the first time.

Asim Chaudhry, best known as his alter-ego Chabuddy G, thrilled fans when he shared his happy news, and also revealed his baby boy’s unusual name.

The comedian, who shot to fame in the BBC show People Just Do Nothing, is now settling into life as a first time father.

Taking to Instagram, the star shared a picture of him and his wife Sevan, with her huge baby bump on display.

In the next slide the happy couple revealed their newborn baby boy.

The tot was wrapped up in a blanket, and was seen peeking through it.

Revealing his son’s name for the first time, proud papa Asim penned: “Abel Raffi Oscar Chaudhry. A love like no other.”

The actor’s fans rushed to congratulate the couple, with a slew of happy messages.

One follower wrote: “Congratulations to you both !!!!!”

Another added: “Congratulations my brother and your family!”

A third thrilled fan penned: “Wonderful news!”

While this follower said: “So happy for you both!”

Asim married therapist wife Sevan in 2021.

The couple met in 2013, after being introduced through a mutual friend on Facebook.

Meanwhile, Asim has seen his career soar over the last decade after he kicked off his career on People Just Do Nothing, where he introduced his alter-ego Chabuddy G.

Since then he has become a much sought after star.

Asim thrilled fans when he starred alongside Stephen Merchant in the Christmas comedy TV special called Click & Collect.

The star previously appeared in the Emmy winning mockumentary Hoff The Record – which followed David Hasselhoff playing a fictional version of himself.

Asim also parodied Donald Trump in a video short called Donald Mohammed Trump.

An he took part in Taskmaster season six, which was won by Liza Tarbuck.
