I’M A Celebrity winner AngryGinge has been left devastated after his mum’s house burned down just days after his stint in Soccer Aid.
The YouTube star, 24, was clad in a face mask and rubber gloves as he examined the devastating damage in a clip posted to Instagram.
Just a day before, AngryGinge saw his England team triumph in the charity footie match that raises cash for Unicef.
Though his jubilant mood following his team’s 3-2 win against the World XI team was quickly soured following the terrifying turn of events.
He told of a “major family issue” that had crept up in an Instagram slide posted on Monday, and said he “needed to be with the family and make sure everything is OK”.
Today, the Twitch streamer clarified the situation as he stood in the ruins and said: “Everyone is assuming or guessing someone has passed away, they’ve not.
“So as you can tell, you wouldn’t think it, but right now I am in my mum’s house”.
He then flicked on his torch to show the shocking scenes and charred walls.
The TV star then candidly explained how the situation unravelled and said: “Morning of Soccer Aid I get a phone call saying mum’s house has burned down.
“This is what we are dealing with now, obviously there will be more updates, but at the minute, I mean yeah”.
Pointing to the lounge with the torch he said: “This isn’t even the worst of the worst”.
He added: “We are dealing with this at the minute.
“I will keep you all updated and I will be live whenever I can go live”.
AngryGinge, real name Morgan, then confirmed his mum would be coming to live with him.
The awful circumstances may well explain why defender Ginge was humbled by Dimitar Berbatov during Sunday’s SoccerAid clash.
The two-time Premier League champion, 45, was among the star-studded names involved in the charity clash at West Ham’s London Stadium – and got fans talking with his skill on the ball when he dinked the ball over the jungle champ as he looked to lead a counter-attack for the World XI.
During his jungle stint, back in November, was seen sobbing throughout an episode of the ITV show after admitting he was homesick.
We told previously how Ginge has an “unbreakable bond” with his single-parent mum follow a difficult childhood with his father.
He got emotional after confessing to missing home and texting his mum – who brought him and his sister up on £12.5k a year.
She is said to be his inspiration behind signing up to I’m A Celeb, which they watched together when he was growing up.
Ginge hoped to use future opportunities he gets from the hit ITV show to “pay back” his mum who made sacrifices through his childhood.
“He might act like one of the lads but Ginge is a mummy’s boy at heart,” our source said.
“He puts her first and foremost in his life and feels he wants to repay her for all she sacrificed for him.
“His childhood was rocky and they didn’t have much. For Ginge, being on I’m a Celeb provided the opportunity to give his mum everything she could ever want. He’s doing it for her”.
