Bobby Brazier has revealed he is leaving the UK to start a new chapter in New Jersey. The 23-year-old actor and model shared the news in a candid Instagram video, where he was stopped by a casting agent on the street asking if he wanted to attend a test shoot.

“You know I’m actually moving to New York. Well, I say New York, in New Jersey,” Bobby announced, revealing he will relocate in July.

The former EastEnders star, who joined the soap in 2022 as Freddy Slater and won the National Television Award for Rising Star, has recently turned to the Hare Krishna religion after reported tensions with his father Jeff and brother Freddy. A source told The Sun last year that Bobby was “excited and happy about his spiritual journey, preaching about his devotion to Hare Krishna.”

Bobby has spoken about how fame came quickly after Strictly Come Dancing, joking about “thriving” off the attention of older female fans and admitting he “spent a lot of money” during his rise to celebrity status.

Despite speculation about Hollywood, Bobby insisted he remains grounded: “You kind of just take it as it comes. Nothing really changes — there’s what everyone sees and then there’s your life. I’m too invested in my own life to get wrapped up in what everyone else says.”
He also reflected on his Strictly journey, finishing second behind eventual winner Ellie Leach and performing a memorable routine in honour of his late mother, Jade Goody. Last year, Bobby shared his love for Hare Krishna on Instagram, writing: “Chanting Hare Krishna mantra is so good my heart.”
As Bobby prepares to leave the UK, fans are left wondering how this move will shape his career and personal journey in both faith and fame.
