The live final also saw Sinitta and Gemma Collins walk off the stage during the show in what has become one of the most chaotic moments on TV in years, and prompted over 1,000 complaints to Ofcom.

Now the presenters, both 50, have shared how things went from their side during the latest episode of their podcast, Hanging Out with Ant and Dec.

In a clip, Dec said: “It was quite the night!” to which Ant replied with a big sigh: “It was a weird night of TV.”

Dec then said: “The first question was to Jimmy about why did you call I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here” and Ant added: “On the night I said I disagreed with it.”

Dec revealed on their podcast how they had heard Gemma Collins and Adam Thomas had left the WhatsApp Group

Dec said: “He had a bit of a bee in his bonnet and wanted to get that off his chest.”

He then revealed: “And we’d heard that Gemma and Adam had left the WhatsApp group.”

The next clip saw Ant make reference to him coming face to face with Jimmy and David in the studio car park after they claimed they were kicked out of filming.

He said: “There were two people in the car park, David Haye and Jimmy Bullard, I thought ‘Oh god, how’s your luck’.”

Dec added: “We had no idea which way it was going to go.”

Fans will have to wait until the full episode drops on Thursday to find out more about their feelings on the chaotic evening.

Their comments come hours after the show’s winner – Adam Thomas – also spoke out about the final, which saw him looking utterly dejected as he was crowned following the altercations with Jimmy and David.

Adam, 37, broke down in tears on his Thomas Brothers podcast, saying: “The sad truth is that everyone will go on with their lives but for me, this will be it for me for the rest of my life.

“I will live with everything that’s happened from the very start and to the very finish, this is part of my DNA now, it’s made me the person that I am.”
