âMarried to the trailâ: Aishah Hasnie opens up about faith, reporting, life balance & turning 40

Fox News star gets real about wellness, social media, and life behind the camera.
You may know Aishah Hasnie as the sharp, stylish Fox News correspondent covering many topics on air. But off-camera, sheâs also navigating something a lot more relatable: burnout, boundaries, and what it means to turn 41 while still single, thriving, and very much in motion.
From Lahore to the Midwest â and a Whole New Life
Born in Lahore, Pakistan, Aishah was just six years old when her family made a life-changing decision: move to the United States and start fresh.
âIt was kind of a whim,â she told her close friend Erin Como in a candid 2024 interview. âMy parents believed in education and they wanted better for us.â
After a short stint in Saudi Arabia, where her father worked for ARAMCO, the family finally landed in Centralia, Illinois, before settling in Indiana. The adjustment wasnât easy. Despite attending a British school, young Aishah found herself overwhelmed.
âI used to cry because the kids spoke so fast, I couldnât understand them,â she admitted. âIâd leave class and sit with my brother all day.â
Still, the Midwestern kindness helped her settle in and made a lifelong impression. âThe kids just embraced me,â she recalled. âThatâs what makes the Midwest so great.â
Campaign Trail Chaos â And a Grocery List from Dad
As the 2024 election was happening, Hasnie was everywhere:Â Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Michigan, and back again â juggling live shots, interviews, and travel all at once.
âIt is go-go-go,â she told her friend Erin Como in a 2024 interview. âItâs one of the most important elections of our lifetime⊠and Iâm honored to be right there, asking the questions voters want asked.â
But with all that history in the making, thereâs a hidden cost: exhaustion.
âThere have been days where my first meal was at 8 p.m.,â she admitted. âI canât keep doing that.â
After relying too much on cheese puffs and peach cobbler during the midterms, she got a wake-up call â from her dad, who literally wrote her a snack grocery list to help her stay healthy on the road.
Faith, Pressure, and Staying Grounded
For Hasnie, balance isnât just about food and rest. Itâs deeply spiritual.
âThis is a high-pressure job,â she said. âI pray throughout the day. Iâll say little prayers for guidance⊠for my words to be truthful and honest.â
Being a Muslim woman in a prominent media role hasnât always been easy â but itâs something she embraces fully.
âYou can lose yourself in this industry if youâre not careful,â she reflected. âThatâs why humility and good people around me are so important.â
Thick Skin in a Loud World
Whether sheâs interviewing candidates or moderating heated debates, everyone has an opinion â especially online. But Hasnie doesnât flinch.
âIâve had people threaten to sue me. Iâve ticked off a lot of people,â she admitted. âBut if you look at my body of work, youâll see fairness and integrity.â
And while the noise can get loud, she leans on her circle of family and friends to stay centered â and doesnât get distracted by critics who donât see the full picture.
âMaybe not everyone will believe Iâm unbiased,â she said. âBut I know Iâve given everyone a voice.â
The Power of Mentorship â and Smart Girl Summers
For all her professional drive, Aishah lights up most when talking about lifting others up.
âI just saw two of my mentees while covering Michigan,â she said proudly. âOneâs older, oneâs newer â but both are thriving. Thatâs what makes me happiest.â
She credits her own mentors â like Linsey Davis at ABC and Fansi Stigger at Merit Street Media â for shaping her career. Now, sheâs paying it forward.
âI love building people up more than I love covering politics,â she said. âWeâre in our Smart Girl era. Itâs not hot girl summer â itâs smart girl summer.â
So, Is There Room for Love?
Now in her 40s, some might expect Aishah Hasnie to feel pressure to settle down. But if thereâs one thing sheâs made clear â sheâs doing life her way.
âThere are expectations other people have â and then there are your own,â she said. âIâve always put independence and purpose first.â
Though sheâs constantly in front of the camera, Aishah keeps her personal life intentionally private. Sheâs not married, and aside from the occasional rumor, thereâs no known partner in sight. According to Tuko and other outlets, sheâs believed to be single and focused on building her professional legacy.
And donât expect her to spill the tea on X (formerly Twitter) either â sheâs not even on it. During a 2021 appearance on Gutfeld!, the host joked:
âI love the fact that Hasnie has no X. Sheâs smarter than all of us.â
For Aishah, thatâs the point. Purpose first, pressure never. For now she remains single, At least officially.
Home, Friendship & Whatâs Next
Though sheâs often on the move, D.C. remains her home base. She loves the food scene, the monuments, and yes â walking the National Mall.
âThis is one of the most powerful cities in the world,â she said. âAnd I know how lucky I am to live here.â
She also leans on deep friendships â like the one she shares with Erin Como, who she calls a lifeline from the early days of her D.C. move.
âWhen I moved here, I needed someone,â she said. âErin was just there â ready to love on me and be a friend.â
Whatâs next for Aishah Hasnie? More history. More growth. Maybe even a book.
âHelp me with the title, then Iâll write it,â she joked.
Whatever the next chapter holds, one thingâs clear:Â sheâs writing it on her terms.
