The 37-year-old JLS star — who has been part of the chart-topping group since 2007 — posted a series of touching photos on Instagram, including sweet moments with his wife Sarah-Louise Richards and their three children, as he prepared to go under the knife for a painful injury.

Thanking fans for the waves of support he has received, Aston revealed that the operation was a success and that he is now resting at home with his family.

“Done, done and done!” he wrote.
“Thank you so much for all the love and support.
Thankfully everything went to plan in surgery.
Huge thank you to the incredible doctors, nurses and hospital staff.
Now I’m home with my favourites, rest and recovery begin.”A family of five, including a father in a hospital bed, mother, and three children, smiles for a selfie.

In the images, Aston can be seen smiling bravely in a hospital gown, giving a thumbs-up while connected to medical equipment, with his hospital meal waiting nearby. Support poured in from famous friends, with bandmate and close friend Marvin Humes commenting:
“My guy! Over the moon everything went well.”

Marvin’s wife Rochelle Humes added prayer emojis, while singer Example also showed his support with a raised-hands emoji.

“The Road to Recovery Is Longer Than Expected”

Last month, Aston revealed that he would need surgery after suffering a painful injury. Sharing photos of himself on crutches and wearing a protective ankle boot, he explained that the damage required an operation.

“So, I had a bit of an accident on an injury,” he told fans.
“Basically, it needs surgery. So they’ve given me these really cool crutches.”Aston Merrygold using crutches and wearing a medical boot on his right foot.

Sarah-Louise then posted a deeply emotional message praising her husband’s strength during the difficult weeks leading up to surgery.

“Someone said to me today that your husband is a warrior — and they are absolutely right,” she wrote.
“The last few weeks have been tough for you both physically and mentally, but you kept pushing on and giving your very best.”

She continued:
“Today we found out the road to recovery might be a little longer than expected, which isn’t easy — but I’ve got you, we’ve got you, and we promise to support you every step of the way.”

In a touching final note, she added:
“I love you so much. I wish I could squeeze you right now. Instead, you’re in our city — the city where we said ‘I do’ — still giving it everything you’ve got. And by the way, you absolutely smashed a show on crutches. I’m so proud of you.”

From X Factor to Chart-Topping Success
