After four-and-a-half drama-filled years on the ITV soap, Coronation Street star Charlotte Jordan has officially said farewell to the cobbles – and she’s finally broken her silence.

Fans were glued to their screens during the May 2nd episode, which saw Charlotte’s character, Daisy Midgeley, make her final appearance on the long-running show – and true to form, she went out with a twist.
Daisy first arrived on Weatherfield back in 2020, stirring the pot immediately by nudging her former stepmother Jenny Connor toward a breakup from husband Johnny. From there, Daisy made headlines (and enemies), manipulating the breakup of Ryan Connor and Alya Nazir, and stepping into plotlines filled with blackmail, stalking, and even a horrifying acid attack.

Her character’s exit was no less dramatic. After a turbulent time marked by a secret pregnancy, messy catfishing, and tangled love triangles, Daisy bid farewell to the Street – heading off to start a brand new chapter on the other side of the world.
While Daisy may be gone (for now), she didn’t leave quietly. In a touching video message shared via Coronation Street’s official social media, Charlotte said her heartfelt goodbyes to viewers.
“Hello. I wanted to pop on and say thank you for all of the love you’ve shown Daisy over the last four-and-a-half years,” she said warmly.
“It’s been wonderful. It’s been an honour to be a little piece of the Corrie history, and I will miss this place very, very much. And yeah, it’s goodbye for now.”
Fans didn’t hold back in the comments, flooding the post with love and praise.

But why did she really decide to walk away?
Charlotte had previously confirmed that she was ready for a new chapter and hinted that her departure wasn’t necessarily permanent.
“It’s a very special building, and I have loved it,” she said about Corrie. “And it’s just goodbye for now, not goodbye forever.”
In an interview on This Morning, Charlotte revealed that although it was emotional to film her last scenes, she’s excited about what comes next.
“I do feel excited; it’s a fresh start,” she said. “I feel like I’ve done a lot of soapy things. I’ve done the checklist. Coronation Street has been really good to me, and it just feels like time for a new beginning.”
As for a possible return? She’s keeping the door open — so fans may not have seen the last of Daisy Midgeley just yet…
