Ah, the Croisette has begun its annual transformation into the chicest runway – we mean, red carpet – of festival season. We can expect all the standard ingredients of the French film festival – from bombastic glamour, show-stopping ensembles and plenty of drama, on screen and off.
For decades, Cannes has held a special place in the fashion calendar. From Princess Diana floating down the red carpet in pale chiffon in 1987 to Bella Hadid in jaw-dropping Schiaparelli.
This year’s festival promises lots of great films on the big screen, including highly anticipated movies such as Na Hong-jin thrilled Hope, Paper Tiger starring Adam Driver, and Bitter Christmas by Pedro Almodovar.

Then there is of course, the dress code – which has caused a spot of controversy over the year. From women not wearing heels being refused entry to the red carpet, to last year’s ban on ‘naked dressing,’ and so the H! Fashion team have been waiting with baited breath to see how the glamorous attendees will storm down the red carpet this year…
Best dressed guests at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival:
The Gossip Girl actress proved the power of all-black in a dazzling long-sleeved dress featuring structured shoulders by Giorgio Armani. She amped up the glamour with a dazzling diamond choker and matching earrings.
Demi brought the peplum trend to the red carpet in a stunning, glitzy figure-hugging gown featuring a strapless silhouette and an accentuated waist by Jacquemus, teamed with Chopard jewellery.
Heidi brought etheral spring vibes to the opening ceremony in a whimsical peach-hued dress with flattering ruched detailing and a statement pink flower at the décolletage by Elie Saab.
The It-Brit looked every inch the film star in an incredible monochromatic dress by Andrew Kwon paired with the pièce de résistance – her glamorous, vintage-infused bob hairstyle.
If we saw incredible actress Ruth Negga in this dress on the street we wouldn’t be able to stop ourselves from running up to her and telling her enthusiastically how absolutely incredible it is. She teamed the green dress with jewellery by Chopard.
