Channel 5 is set to air the follow-up to tense thriller The Ex-Wife.
The psychological drama starring Celine Buckens, Janet Montgomery and Tom Misen was a hit when it first aired in 2022, with viewers hooked by all the twists and turns as Tasha (Celine) found her marriage to Jack (Tom) rocked by his persistent ex (Janet Montgomery).
Fans of the series had been hoping for a follow up and it was first unveiled last year, and it is now set to air on Channel 5.

Who is in the cast of The Ex-Wife series 2?
Celine will be back as Tasha in the second series of the thriller, and Tom will reprise the role of Jack.
However, there is one big change as while the character Jen will return, this time she will not be played by Janet Montgomery.
This time actress Katie McGrath – known for Supergirl and Merlin – will take on the role of Jen.
Jordan Stephens from Rizzle Kicks plays Tasha’s friend Sam in the series.
What is the plot of The Ex-Wife series 2?
Series two picks up three years after the events of the first season.
Tasha is living in hiding in Cyprus with her daughter Emily (Liberty Miller), while Jen has moved on and is getting ready to get married again.
While Tasha and Emily seem safe with their new identities, things take a turn when Jack gets released from prison early – having only served a year of his sentence. He seems to have changed for the better, but is he to be trusted?
“With the shadow of the past haunting all three characters, attempts at moving on only bring them closer together, but who can each of them really trust, and can anyone truly change?” a synopsis says.
Speaking when the series was announced, Sebastian Cardwell, Deputy Chief Content Officer at UK Paramount, said: “I am thrilled to be teaming up with Clapperboard, Blackbox Media and Night Train again for a second series of The Ex-Wife.
“The first series was a huge success and this time we promise viewers even more twists and turns! I can’t wait to see this incredible cast bring the next instalment of this drama to life.”

The series is starting on Channel 5 tonight (Friday May 15). It will air at 9pm.
