Today marks eight years since Prince William and Kate welcomed their youngest child, Louis. The mischievous little man came into the world on April 23, 2018 and have provided multiple memorable moments since.
The royal family are preparing to mark the momentous occasion with their traditional festivities. Princess Catherine has previously disclosed several birthday customs the family observe. Most notably, that she regularly stays up until midnight baking birthday cakes for her children, Louis, Charlotte and George’s special days.
No matter the occasion though, Prince Louis has always been on hand to liven things up. The cheeky chappy has cemented himself as a firm favourite amongst onlookers for his show-stealing antics. From pulling silly faces, to trying out new things, we take a look at all of the times the young royal has been captured on camera.
Cool little guy
Prince Louis began showing swagger when he was just a year old. In 2019, he served an iconic look during a trip to Wokingham, where Prince Harry and Prince William played polo together.
Louis was seen pulling faces after taking mum Kate’s Ray-Ban glasses.

Hands in the air like he just don’t care
Louis left people in stitches at the Platinum Pageant in 2022. He sat next to his mum, Kate, as he tried to entertain himself by pointing his fingers in the air and waving them around. He repeatedly pulled silly faces – much to the joy of onlookers.

‘Be quiet, mum’
She may be the future Queen of the United Kingdom, but to Prince Louis, Kate Middleton is just his mum. At the same event, she gave him a little telling off, so he responded by putting his hand over her mouth.

Little bit of laughter
In 2023, Louis was caught with a case of the giggles. He sat between his brother and sister in a carriage ride to Buckingham Palace.
As George and Charlotte seemed unfazed, Louis clapped his hand over his mouth to stifle his laughter.

Bow and arrow
Prince Louis tried his hand at archery while taking part in the Big Help Out, while visiting Upton Scout’s Hut in Slough back in 2023.
Accompanied by his mum and two siblings, Louis wasn’t afraid to get stuck in.

In 2022, Louis accompanied his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II for Trooping the Colour.
In hilarious snaps, he was spotted covering his ears and screaming at the overhead planes. Naturally, mum Kate was on hand to whisper for him to behave nicely.
