Davina McCall and Michael Douglas Begin Their Honeymoon After a Magical Early Christmas Celebration CQ💖

DAVINA McCall has jetted off on ‘honeymoon’ with new husband Michael Doug;as after celebrating Christmas early.

The TV icon, 58, tied the knot with her celeb hairstylist hubby, 49, earlier this month, with the couple opting to marry in a small intimate ceremony with close friends and family present.

And the couple wasted no time in making sure they got to celebrate their nuptials, taking advantage of the festive holidays – celebrating Christmas with family early so they could jet out of the country.

Michael confirmed that the newlyweds celebrated Christmas “over the weekend”, before they jetted off to the States for their time away.

On his Instagram page, he posted a video of the pair, as they got themselves ready on their trip to Florida.

In the video, Michael wished his mum happy birthday with Davina.

“We’ve come on our holiday to relax and have already celebrated Christmas”, he told followers as he went on live, explaining they’d already celebrated in the UK.

Fans quickly left a swathe of comments as they wished the couple the best for their time away.

One commented: “Congratulations on your wedding, love you both”.

Another wrote: “Have the best time you wonderful people”.

While a third said: “Congratulations and you 2 enjoy this lovely Xmas break / honeymoon”,

Michael responded to the many well wishes that poured in – as he passed on his hair expertise to fans who were tuned in – as Davina got hereself ready for their day out.

The couple tied the knot earlier this year, with the TV presenter choosing an unconventional get up for her big day.

Sources told how the couple had opted to keep Friday’s celebration “very low key” before attending a friend’s much larger wedding the following day — their first public outing as husband and wife.

A friend added: “Their wedding was perfect, exactly what they wanted.

“They chose a small venue close to their home, and just invited about ten of their friends and relatives to be there with them.

“It was very intimate and everyone who attended is very special in their lives.”

They went on: “They’ve been through a huge amount in recent months, with Davina’s health, and it just felt right to formalise their marriage. They didn’t see the point in waiting.

“The next day they just carried on with life as normal, and as coincidence would have it they were guests at another friend’s wedding day.

“So they went as a married ­couple for the first time and happily showed off her wedding ring. It was the perfect weekend.”

Last month The Sun revealed Masked Singer judge Davina, 58, had found a breast lump after seeing a sticker for Lorraine Kelly’s Change + Check campaign.

In November last year she had asked fans to pray for her ahead of a six-hour brain op.

And this September we told how the twice-wed TV favourite wanted to wed Michael, 52, despite earlier vows not to do so.

The couple have been dating since late 2018, having first met in the early 2000s on the set of Big Brother. Michael appears regularly on programmes including The One Show and This Morning.
