Influencer Lorna Luxe has shared the most heartbreaking update of her life — revealing that doctors have told her husband John’s cancer is now terminal, and that further treatment is no longer possible.
The 43-year-old, who has built a following of more than 1.6 million Instagram fans, confirmed that John has returned home after a recent hospital stay, following a traumatic festive period that left the family clinging to hope.
In an emotional post shared on Friday evening, Lorna revealed that the disease has now spread to other organs — leaving doctors with no remaining treatment options.
“We’re looking for a bit of a miracle”
Writing candidly to her followers, Lorna said:
“John’s condition has worsened and he was hit with sepsis over Christmas. He’s back home with me now, but we’ve been told his cancer has progressed to other organs, so treatment is no longer an option.
But one thing about John — in the 16 years we’ve been married, his mindset has never wavered. We’re looking for a bit of a miracle.”
The update marked a devastating turn in a battle the couple has been fighting publicly — and bravely — for nearly three years.
A long and brutal journey
John, a former banker, was first diagnosed with stage three cancer in April 2023. After undergoing chemotherapy, he went into remission in 2024 — only for the disease to return months later, spreading to his brain and adrenal gland.
Last month, John underwent surgery to remove a brain tumour. But just weeks later, Lorna revealed that a severe complication from chemotherapy had left him in organ failure, with doctors preparing her for the worst.
“My man is back in hospital,” she wrote at the time.
“While we’re both putting a brave face on it, these past few days haven’t been easy. The ICU team were preparing me for the worst. But John isn’t the average patient — he’s somehow defied the odds.”
Strength, humour and unbreakable spirit
Despite the grim prognosis, Lorna says John’s spirit remains remarkably strong.
She shared that he has even been teasing her for not posting updates online — insisting that the community they’ve built together has become a source of comfort.
“He’s been telling me off for not posting,” she admitted.
“This is as much for him as it is for you.”
For Lorna, that online support has become a lifeline.
“We’re both so grateful for the messages of love and genuine kindness,” she wrote.
“I honestly don’t think I’d have got through this year without you.”
Holding onto hope
As the couple face the unimaginable, Lorna continues to lean on the same word she keeps repeating — miracle.
Followers flooded her page with messages of encouragement, prayers and love, reminding her that she and John are not facing this chapter alone.
Through fear, heartbreak and uncertainty, Lorna Luxe is still holding her husband’s hand — and holding onto hope.
