‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Is Joss’s WSB Storyline Meant To Be The Spoiler In Carly And Brennan’s Romance?
It seemed like Dex was a casualty of Joss’s new direction, working for the WBS. We have to wonder if the writers made the wrong decision.
Joss loved Dex with all her heart. She and Vaughn don’t have that kind of connection. Perhaps over time, we’ll see more chemistry between them.
However, many fans have expressed that they miss Dex, especially his relationship with Joss. Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) daughter became a spy for the WSB quickly after Dex’s tragic death.
Dex’s passing was likely a necessary evil to take Joss in a new direction. Some fans love her new storyline, while others, not so much.
Another obvious angle the GH writers appear to be working is the truth eventually coming out that Carly’s boyfriend, Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna), recruited her daughter to become an agent.
Almost everyone in Port Charles has tried to warn Carly away from Brennan, but she refuses to listen. However, she’s bound to uncover Joss’s secret at some point.
Is that what we’re waiting for? Could the storyline of Joss working for Brennan be a setup for Carly and Jack to break up?
We understand that Joss believes in justice. She felt helpless when Dex died, and Brennan offered her an anchor to hold onto.
For Joss, the WSB has given her a purpose. Joss seemed somewhat flaky about diving into her other pursuits. She had been studying at PCU to become a doctor, but abandoned the idea after Dex died.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: What Does Vaughn Really Want From Joss?
Now, she’s working with the shady Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) with Vaughn by her side.
She took the research position Emma Scorpio Drake (Braedyn Bruner) had desperately wanted so she could expose his testing on animals.
The conversation between Vaughn and Joss at the Metro court pool was a bit disappointing, as he made up a lie about having a childhood dog that died from cancer. He was proving a point, but it was still distasteful.
If Vaughn is that good at lying, are his advances toward Joss even real? After Joss shared with Vaughn that her ambition was to take mob boss Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) down, Vaughn suddenly grabbed her and kissed her.
Prior to that, they also shared a couple of steamy kisses at the Metro Court pool and in Dalton’s office. Was any of it real?
We can’t really tell what Vaughn wants from Joss. Are they just working together for the WSB? Or is there truly an underlying spark between them?
They are also currently faking a relationship and a staged break-up to trick Emma into trusting Vaughn. We still don’t know what Brennan wants with Dalton’s research.
Some fans have also complained that Vaughn isn’t as likable as Dex. Clearly, Joss and Dex had a more natural chemistry between them.
It feels like the soap wanted to create a character to replace Dex in Joss’s life. The GH writers thought it would be more interesting to involve her with her WSB handler.
We know more will likely happen between Joss and Vaughn. However, Vaughn could never take Dex’s place in Josslyn’s heart.
