THIS MORNING was thrown into chaos at the end of today’s episode as Holly Willoughby, Phillip Schofield, Steve Wilson and Gino D’Acampo took on the Christmas cocktail challenge.
Phillip was paired with Steve, while Holly had Gino, and it didn’t take long for things to go slightly pear-shaped as Steve – who was stood behind Phillip – and Gino – who was stood behind Holly – used their hands to mix together the ingredients, while the others guided them.
Towards the end of the segment run by Nick Whitby – from the New World Trading Company – and it got to the cream stage of the beverage making, Steve accidentally put a little too much pressure on the can, while Holly complained about “getting some in her eye”, as blindfolded Gino clutched onto her chest from behind her.
When Gino removed his blindfold he looked at Phillip’s winning cocktail in dismay, with him shouting: “Look at theirs! How did we get it so wrong?”

Despite Phillip’s being named the best, he confessed that he “had to admit defeat” because he “cheated a little bit” and “knocked everything over three times”.
Viewers immediately took to Twitter to discuss the hilarious skit, with one person posting: “I am LOVING this cocktail challenge #thismorning,” as another gushed: “Crying with laughter at there Christmas cocktail challenge #ThisMorning @ITV @hollywills @Schofe.”
A third joked: “Oh my god the innuendos you could make about @thismorning right now! #thismorning.”
