HELEN Flanagan has signed up to Celebrity Ex On The Beach in a bid to revive her telly career.
An insider said the former Coronation Street actress, 35, was planning on causing fireworks with her stint on the MTV show.
Mum-of-three Helen, who played Rosie Webster in the ITV soap, is overseas filming her scenes this week.
She has been single since splitting with her boyfriend Robbie Talbot in May.
A source said: “Helen was so excited to take part on Celebrity Ex On The Beach.
“She is a massive signing for MTV and they know what she can bring to the table.
“Helen is sexy, feisty, and won’t hold back on the show and she wants to cause some fireworks.
“This is a big show for her because it’s opening her up to a whole new audience who might not be familiar with what she’s done before.
“Helen is going to give Ex On The Beach her all and is out there now filming for the show.”
The Sun previously revealed Towie star Ella Rae Wise and Love Islander Anton Danyluk were taking part.
Helen, who has also previously appeared on I’m A Celebrity and Celebrity Super Spa, was last on screen on Celebs Go Dating last year.
The Sun revealed how Helen was dating Robbie Talbot while appearing on the show – and Helen later confessed she wanted to marry him before they split in May.
The mum-of-three, who shares two daughters and a son with her footballer ex fiance Scott Sinclair, is in the process of writing a tell-all book.
Her autobiography, Head & Heart: Break-ups, Breakdowns and Being Rosie, is due to be released on January 29 next year.
Announcing the book, Helen said: “I was going to have to revisit painful times, digging deep into experiences I’d have much rather left buried in the past.”
She added: “I’ve made mistakes, I’ve been hurt and I’ve had to rebuild from rock bottom, but I’ve also learned, grown and come out the other side a better, stronger person.
“Telling my truth meant no hiding – no glossing over or airbrushing.”
