Helen George has spoken publicly for the first time about the end of her relationship with Dan Innes, becoming visibly emotional during a recording of her podcast Mystic Mates.
The 42-year-old actress, best known for portraying Trixie in the BBC’s Call the Midwife, told co-host Yvette Robinson: “There’s been voice notes, there’s been tears, it’s been pretty s**t.”
When Ms Robinson pressed her on what had been playing on her mind, Ms George acknowledged it was “the recent events in my love life” that had left her reeling.
She described herself as “going through some personal things” and repeated that the entire experience had been “pretty s**t”.

Ms George and Mr Innes first connected on the celebrity dating app Raya in March 2025, with their romance developing at pace.
Mr Innes, who runs a property marketing agency, had moved into the home the actress shares with her two daughters by the start of 2026.
However, the relationship unravelled in recent weeks.

Ms Innes was spotted moving out of Ms George’s property earlier this month, and The Sun subsequently reported that the couple had parted ways.
A source told the newspaper: “Their differences became apparent. It has been a difficult time for them both.”
During their time together, the pair had regularly shared glimpses of their relationship on social media, posting photographs from dates and a trip to Cornwall.

In the wake of the breakup, Ms George turned to Instagram to share a series of pointed messages.
Alongside a photograph of her daughter standing in a field, she wrote: “When the chaos leaves, the calm resumes.”
A further post addressed the theme of accountability and respect.
“I absolutely take responsibility for when I am wrong,” the quote read.
“But I will never apologise for responding to disrespect. If you lit the match, do not stand in the flames pretending to be the victim.”
Ms George also reposted a message expressing her aspirations for her daughter: “I want her to speak up sooner. Walk away faster. Trust herself deeper. Apologise less. Take up more space.”
Mr Innes, meanwhile, has removed his Instagram account entirely since the pair went their separate ways.
During the podcast’s tarot card segment, Ms Robinson drew cards for the actress and cautioned that further “challenges” lay ahead that could ultimately help her “grow”.

Ms Robinson offered words of encouragement, telling her: “I do feel like with you, Hels, I feel like you’re getting your power back.
“I feel like you’re such a strong, powerful, amazing woman, and sometimes, can I say, you lose that power a little bit.”
She continued: “And we lose you, and we go, ‘we’ve lost Hels, but she’ll come back.’ And then you do come back.”
