Katie Price has publicly named the British celebrity she says raped her more than two decades ago — ending years of silence after vowing she would “never tell the police.”
During her An Evening with Katie Price and Kerry Katona show in Stockport earlier this week, the 47-year-old reality star reportedly revealed the man’s identity while on stage alongside her close friend Kerry.

The shocking moment came more than 16 years after she first mentioned the assault in a 2009 magazine column, where she described being attacked by a “famous celebrity” but insisted she would “absolutely never” make a formal complaint.
At the time, Surrey Police confirmed they had recorded an incident but would not pursue an investigation without Katie’s cooperation, citing the “very historic nature” of the allegation and “lack of substantiated information.”
Katie previously explained her silence, saying she didn’t want the “drama” or media circus that would follow if she named him. “I was raped by a celebrity but no, I’ll never name him,” she said in 2017. “I don’t even know if he knows that I’ve spoken about him.”

In her earlier interview with OK! Magazine back in 2009, she spoke out against trivialising sexual violence: “Rape is a subject very close to my heart. I was raped when I was younger, more than once. I urge any woman who has been affected by rape and needs help to talk to somebody they trust.”
Her on-stage revelation comes amid renewed debate over the UK’s handling of rape cases. In 2019, 55,259 rapes were reported across the country — but only 702 convictions were recorded. Experts say many victims lose faith in the justice system, with Rape Crisis chief Jayne Butler explaining that “five in six women who are raped don’t report it” due to embarrassment, fear, and lack of trust in police.
Support groups like RASA Merseyside echoed that sentiment, adding that “shame, guilt, fear of not being believed, or losing friends” stop many victims from coming forward.
For Katie, her decision to finally speak the man’s name in public marks a deeply personal act of reclaiming her story — one that may encourage others to break their silence too.
