HARRY Redknapp has branded the I’m A Celebrity final “a nightmare”, saying “it went too far” – but he’s backed David Haye.
The jungle star didn’t hold back as he shared his thoughts on the dramatic finale, while throwing his support behind the boxer.
The former manager admitted he was left uncomfortable by some of the scenes, saying parts of the final crossed a line.
But he was quick to defend David Haye, insisting the boxer handled himself well despite the chaos.
Harry addressed the chaotic final in an interview with Andy Townsend and Ally McCoist on Talk Sport.
Ally asked him: “Harry, I’ve got to ask you, mate, if there wasn’t enough drama with York City, top of the premiership, top of the championships, bottom of the top flight, it’s all been happening.
“I’ll bet you are delighted that I’m A Celebrity is all over. You’ve got to be thrilled at that.”
Harry replied: “I thought I’d gone to the wrong show. I thought it was The Jeremy Kyle Show. I’ve never seen so much aggravation.
“I thought I’m in the wrong studio here. All the crowd is shouting and things.
“Oh, it was a nightmare. I thought, you know, I’m not a celebrity… get me out of here. That’s what I was going to say.
“David was, you know, he was in good form, David Haye.
“But listen, Andy, we’ve been brought up in dressing rooms. You’ve been around football, you two guys, Andy, you know, all your life. Banter.
“This wasn’t strong banter compared to what you’ve had in dressing rooms over the years. You just get on with it, don’t you?
“It all got out of hand. You know, people couldn’t take a bit of banter and it became a big issue.”
Ant and Dec crowned Adam Thomas the Jungle Legend during the first-ever live final for the All Stars spin-off.
But the crowning moment wasn’t without its tension after a huge on-screen row between ALL of the cast.
They reunited for the final – including David Haye and Jimmy Bullard, despite their on-screen rows with finalist Adam.
Jimmy accused Ant and Dec of stitching him up by leaving out footage of his row with Adam.
Sinitta and Gemma Collins stormed off stage whilst hosts Ant and Dec found themselves locked in a war of words with David and Jimmy.
Producers asked Jimmy and David to leave after making the campmates uncomfortable.
David confirmed that they were “thrown out” of the studio.
Other off-screen drama in the chaotic final included Adam ripping off his crown and throwing it to the ground.
David goaded him, “You’re not a worthy winner” as ex-Emmerdale actor Adam said, “This is bullying.”
Gemma called David “a nasty b******d”, and him and Jimmy “an embarrassment to reality TV”.
